happy birthday...

Hello and Welcome to Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge Day!

Today is February so we have an all new Guest Design Team...this month we have the fabulous Lea Lawson as our Guest Sketch Artist!  Check out this week's sketch:

I'm making an effort to use more of my 6x6'ers....notice I didn't say 'use up' my 6x6'ers...that would take a v-e-r-y--l-o-n-g--t-i-m-e.

So here's my card using the vintage Basic Grey Recess:

I think that this would be an excellent masculine card...the happy birthday sentiment, which is embossed, is from one of my favorite Skipping Stones Design sets, Grunge.

Here's a close up of the center panel and blue strip, can you see it?!  I used Skipping Stones Design Timeless Textures on both of those panels, I embossed it in clear...the pattern is subtle but irl makes quite the nice impact on the card.

I was inspired by Yvonne Yam's Guest Blogger, Dana...she threw out a challenge to stamp on patterned paper.  Love this particular technique because it can either make a bold statement to your project or a subtle one, like on my card...thanks ladies!

You won't wanna miss the fabbie goodness from the other gals on the Skipping Stones Design Team:

Today is February which means we have an all new line up for our Guest Design Team...

Lea Lawson - Guest Sketch Artist
Angela Thomas - Guest Designer
Julie Masse - Guest Designer

Yahoooo for our Guest Team!!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!!!
