keep calm and drink java...

Hello!

I've been having such a fun and r-e-l-a-x-i-n-g week....more on that in a smidge...I wanted to share a card with you:

Jolly by Golly!

I haven't played with my Jolly by Golly in a long time....now how fun is this?!  See that green thread?  My vintage green thread that just so happened to snap on me and scared me to smithereens.....good grief!  You can't really tell by the pic but the steam from the journaling spot has Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds on it:)

I was inspired by Allison's sketch over at the fabbie Jingle Belles Challenge blog!

Love her whimsical sketch..I actually pondered it for awhile...but knew that if I just jumped in, things would fall into place...I knew that my Cosmo Cricket goods would work for me:)

Speaking of the fabbie Allison...did you happen to catch her blog post about Word Verification & Comment Windows?   I ask that you just pop over and read about it...especially if you perhaps use Word Verification on your blog...

**chit chat**

Oh yes, you'll be seeing a ton of these Keep Calm images...

a big shout out to Linby that directed me to the fab site:)

I've been so happy to catch up on my sleep this week...I have the week off and start my new job on Monday...soooo excited for the change!!!!

All the best with your new job Amy. Know what you mean about verification and moderation. I've never turned on them on and after 2000 comments on my blog have never had a problem.

Wonderful card and it did fall right into place. I think that is the best way to approach a card sketch.
Keep enjoying your time off and hopefully you are having nicer weather than us.

ooooh! OOH♥OOH♥OOOOOOH! that's brilliant: awesome papers, hilarious sentiment, totally cool version of allison's sketch! i think you should send this one to SANTA...b/c that is probably his strategy on xmas eve... calm + coffee...definitely gonna need both on THAT trip, eh??! ♥♥♥

(ps: SO with ya re WV...i actually LIKE comments to open in a (small separate) window tho... so i can see the post AND navigate back and forth w/o losing what i'm writing. do you think they really slow folks down tho?)

OMG, anything with java on it is going to get my attention and vote, but you went beyond with this!!! Stinkin love it, you're probably getting sick of hearing that. Absolutely love the background, the papers, the sewing, it's just cheerful!! Amen to Allison's post -- I've been dealing with that for months, emailing bloggers and asking them to change those pop-up word verification settings, which put the onus on the commenters!!! to prove we're not a spammer, instead of using comment moderation. Did you happen to catch my briefly public post yesterday regarding a request I made of GinaK's blog? Ya, that didn't go over well.

This is AWESOME Amy! I love love love love that sentiment and all the coffee mugs!! CUTE!! And I used to have my comment leaving really simple... but then had a nasty comment from an ANONYMOUS peep... (dang coward...)anywho... I had to block anonymous commenters... i hope that's not slowing anyone down.... but I quit word verify awhile ago :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

I wish I could have some java, Amy! Alas, I do not sleep anyway, so why would I need some? I love your card, and am so glad you have a week to relax before starting your new adventure(job). Every job is a new adventure, right? Have fun this week, you deserve it!

Amy, I recently purchased a Singer Pixie sewing machine. It worked great at first as I practiced, but then it became too much trouble. The store gave me a brand new one, but it was difficult as well. I have a store credit, and I may purchase something different. Any suggestions? I really want to sew on my cards! Your sewing is perfect! Cute card, as ever :)

What a beautiful card. I love the patterned paper and stitching. Good luck with your new job.
Love this! A sentiment after my own heart ♥ :) I turned off WV a short while back, but I like having the little window, too. I find it helpful. And...I did try to turn it off ONCE! It jacked up my blog. Bad. Won't do THAT again. :(

LOVE this card, Amy! The sentiment is fantastic, and I may have to lift it, if you don't mind! ;) Especially since I am a "whole pot per morning" coffee drinker! I love all your paper choices too... love that CC line!
