bloom and grow

Happy Saturday!

Today is the new Card Patterns sketch and sponsor!

We have the wonderful Catherine Pooler as our Sponsor for this week:

Catherine Pooler

Here is our new sketch for this week:

Here's my take on the sketch:

All the paper is Stampin' Up, Crumb Cake, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red.  I did some dry embossing for added texture.  The button is Stampin' up too.  The bloom uses a super old sizzix die that I picked up at a garage sale:)  The alpha is from my Sassafras stock...I topped off the card with loads of stitching.

I look forward to see how the sketch inspires YOU!

We're all happy campers in the Pacific Northwest because of the weather we've been experiencing.  Yesterday we were in the mid-upper 60's which is absolutely perfect {for me!}...Darin and I had dinner at Salty's...today is suppose to be in the mid-upper 70's!

What are your Saturday plans?  We're doing some home projects {translation=darin has a honey-do list while I get some DT crafting done..LOL} and we'll definitely get outside to enjoy the summery weather!

Our weather is Minnesota perfect. Upper 70's and no humidity ~ well almost no humidity.

Love your card, Amy! How fab is the flower! I had a nice lunch with my son and dil(in town for the day) and daughter. Then I spent the afternoon (with my headache) watching baseball. I wash my brayer with a little soap and water and let it dry. The folder you can just wipe off with a wet cloth.
