cheers..one day late..kinda

Hello!  Thursday...and a Christmas card?

Perhaps you don't notice that I typically play along with the gals over at jingle belles every Wednesday...it is one challenge that I've been able to keep up with on a weekly basis.  I actually had my card done on Tuesday night, it was even photog'd but that's it..nothing else...to me it is everything else that takes so long...photo editing...writing up the post....formatting...formatting...formatting...more photo editing:)

So anywho's, the gals over at jingle belles theme was

You were to create a card using scraps..if you've been following me, you know that last november I dedicated the month to Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather...can you believe I still have some paper left?    One of my FAV designs from that collection is the red holly one...I had about exactly the strip that I have on my card:)  Strips are a great way to use leftovers from those 6x6 cut-a-ways {is that a word?}...

**birthday celebration**

One of our latest birthday traditions that we've been enjoying is Benihana...if you haven't been, it's totally worth it.  We always enjoy ourselves and the food is pretty good:)

**where does the time go**

I can't seem to get ahead in stuff...I've been perpetually behind on my reader and **gasp** I still need to cast my Gallery Idol vote...sooooooo difficult to pick, all you ladies did a fabulous job!  So, I'm going to try to change up my scheduling {yeah, yeah, I say that alot but I still blog and blurf 7 days a week}...but my goal is not to blog and blurf 7 days a week...so if I go MIA, you'll know why...

I can't believe you have some of that paper left! You made so many cards with it and they were all so layered. This one is really cute!

Oh yea, that GI thing. I'd better go vote, too. Hah! I was probably the first vote they got!

I try to go off-grid on weekends to recharge otherwise I might go crazy.

I like the strips and how the Santa embellie pops off of it.

I finally got around to casting my GI vote but it wasn't easy.

Love Benihana! We had a Beninhana-type restaurant here years ago which we went to for all our special occasions. so sad it is no longer. :(

I've taking the blogging and blurfing a whole lot slower lately (had to). Miss it very much though. Lost contact with a lot of people because of that. :( But I completely understand your struggle!
Shoot.... I can see any photos after adorable Santa card... I have tried refreshing to no avail... I am sure its on my end... but wanted you to know why I wasn't commenting on more than just the CUTE JB card! And PS... yes, photo editing is the hardest! lol! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
Super adorable! I can relate, I feel like I am going backwards. On top of that I had the worst sleep, have to keep going to the chiropractor, and it's raining outside - boo hoo on me, right LOL??

I love your Christmas scrappy card, Amy! Love those papers. Unfortunately I could be making cards until Christmas with just scraps!!!I always say, you can make up any word you want, because that is how we got a dictionary, anyway! Sorry if your not here 24-7 but totally understand. I don't know how you do it anyway as you work a full time job, are a full time mom, and still need some down time! go girl, enjoy your time off from blogging. We will all still be here for you when you are!

Before you know it - the holiday's will be upon us again - and you will be ready Amy. Great use of the scraps - I remember Cosmo month fondly :)
I'm terribly behind on my reading too - you work so hard on your blog & you always have a friendly comment for everyone. You must only sleep 3 hours a night!

If you need to take a day off every now and then, don't worry, we'll be waitin' for ya when ya get back!
