tandem...

Hello Peeps!

I hope that you're having a great weekend so far...I'm on day 3 of my long 4 day weekend...ahhhhh....

I have a fun card for you today:

My dear friend is getting married next month...I couldn't be more thrilled for her...this card is for her.  This puppy is chock full of American Crafts...all layered onto a  Stampin' Up Black cardstock base.  I don't tend to use black bases {95% of my cards are kraft} but really wanted the colors to POP!  The SRM sentiment really rings true for me...love the tandem bicycle!  Don't the American Crafts Accordion Flowers top the card off nicely?  Perfect for Paige's current Cards challenge...

I couldn't stay away from Card Patterns for long...their sketch is the inspiration for today's card:

This is also for yes, Gallery Idol 2011...

I'm in the process of putting together Bridal Shower invites for her...I don't mass produce cards for just anybody.  I'm so not a mass producer...I get distracted and bored but I managed to crank out 20 cards...a clean and crisp design that is USPS friendly.  I'll upload them later...my friend stalks my blog.  I gotta be honest, I probably won't even make my own wedding invites...I'm leaning towards letterpress.  Altho if Darin has his way we'll be in Vegas getting married by an Elvis impersonator {LOL...just kidding...mostly}.

**My Boy**

Check out what my boy made me...

I know,  right?!  Pretty Freakin' Awesome....he made the heart out of fimo and designed the mini-terrarium with different types of moss from an area park...The vial is 1 inch tall.

Take a look at the mushroom one....

Stinkin' a-dorable...and to top it off, he took the photogs too:)

You've got one fabulous family! Love your card too, the colors do pop off of black . I used the old letterpress from my college to make my wedding invites. Set the type with the lead letters and everything, and then proceeded to crank out 200 invites and response cards plus envelopes. I wouldn't have changed it for the world. I'm not so sure all the people appreciated the beauty of the letterpress but I sure did and really, the only person to impress is the bride, right?

Love the bright colours on the card - especially those glitter letters.

And I think you have some competition from Darin in the creativity department! :)

I won't be surprised at all if I see it in the top 20 for round 1. And your son's mini terrariums are ADORABLE!!! How creative, just like Mom. :D

That clinches it, he's totally good enough for my blog buddy Amy! Those necklaces are seriously some of the best EVER!!! I've been lusting after Tiffany's silver bottle necklace, but these are WAY sweeter!!! That card is gorgeous, too! The length, the texture and the great colors make it a winner for sure!

First of all, I love that kid, okaaaayyy?? Jeepers, those are the coolest, I was ooooooohhhing and ahhhhhhing for a good 10 minutes! That's like, something like, 600 seconds!!! Absolutely adore this card, awesome colors, the black is ziiiiingy, it's just perfect really.

Haven't started the new job yet; gave them some peeeeee last week, should hear next week {i.e., this week} about the background check. It's not like I'm worried about it; in fact, I have a clearance called Position of Public Trust, which was an 8month FBI investigation to work for the government. I'm just wondering if my bg check will come back more quickly. My boss wants me in the office on the 5th, but it prolly won't be until the 11th. Thank you for asking!!! *mwah*
