scrappy saturday 6.0

Woooo Hoooo for long holiday weekends!!!

So excited that it is the start of our 3-day weekend...lots to do and the weather is going to be magnificent!

It's been several weeks since I've done a scrappy saturday...so I'm back at it again.  I dug through some old photos and found this one of my boy...circa 2002:

I gotta tell you, that is so my boy...all smiles.  Every year I have the kids' pictures taken, I'm not a fan of the school pics...in 2002 I shared my boy's pics with a modeling agency and they signed him up.  He landed some big gigs:  AT&T, Sav-On Pharmacy, Macy's, {Seattle's} Pacific Science Center, Seattle Storm...and a handful of smaller jobs too.  It was fun, he enjoyed it but it was pretty time consuming since he was in school...I was working full time so we eventually stepped away from it.

My base & sticker label is Studio Calico...there was a one day sale {scrapbook steals, I think} on a whole kit of Studio Calico...oy vey..LOVE their stuff.  Everything else {except for the Lily Bee alpha stickers} is Webster's {Groupon..that was a whole lotta webster's goodness}...I hmmmmm'd about adding the Webster's Bloomers, but I had to, it matches so well:)

I'm a lucky momma and I just had this conversation with both of my kids.  I thanked them for being such great kids.  I love them both to pieces...

Here is a current pic of my boy:

In my best Proud Momma Bear voice, "Isn't he adorable?!!".  He's got dimples that he typically tries to use when trying to get out of trouble..LOL.

I was inspired by this week's Sketchy Thursday:

I wanted to share what was waiting for me when I got home last night:

Darin walked over to the Pike Place Market at lunch yesterday and picked me up thee most gorgeous bouquet of flowers...do you see them?  Stargazer Lilies...they are my FAVs:)

I'm behind on my Google Reader...again...it says 920:(
{I'm real time blogging...I don't do that very often but I literally slammed my layout and this post together this morning}

I'm off to a Farmer's Market {LOVE them} and then Darin and I are going out to dinner.  Whaddya have planned for today?

Love, love your post, Amy! So many beautiful things to look at! That layout is absolutely stunning! So totally inspired by your use of the Webster's goodies here, especially the Bloomers. And such a fabulous photo. I got a little emotional at seeing the then and now photos, too. Your son is just the cutest thing ever, and he's getting so grown up. With my son turning 16 this weekend, I'm just a sentimental old momma these days.
LOVE your flowers! :)
