before and after...

Last weekend I posted this card...

I love the use of the negative die cut panel but I don't know....the size was bothering me....it's 8.5 x 5.5...ugh, I don't like making big cards....I was suppose to make a big card for my boss's boss's boss...for her birthday.  I came up with a different idea for a large card but still wanted to use that fab vintage fabric.

So here it is......made over...funny how lighting can make a difference in colors eh?  I used the same Stampin' Up Basic Gray in both versions:

Ahhh....much beh-tah.  This little card is 4.25 x 4.25.  The top Basic Gray panel is on glue dots and foam tape....the sentiment is ala EAD Designs Co-Branding Paper Smooches Birthday Sentiments Rub-Ons.

I'll be back tomorrow with the larger birthday 'card' that I designed.

Really beautiful, Amy! LOVE that vintage fabric behind the die cut opening. Think that is just genius, and LOVE this yellow and gray color combo!

So it's not just me who sighs when requested to make a biggie card then? I always say good things come in small packages and your smaller version of this card certainly packs a cutie pie punch! Love the use of that fabric!

Another fun card, Amy! I wondered if your first card was blue. I am running out of steam here, going to use the day to re-charge. Have a good one.

I can't get over how much the lighting changed those colors! I like both ...I lean toward big cards, but I can see how the small card makes the focal point pop here. ;)

I know that problem once light pink became dark pink and it changes your work, but still this is a beauty!
