The Craft's Meow: Preview Day 5!

Day 5 of The Craft's Meow Previews AND it is FRIDAY!!!!!!

Check out today's fab set:

Fall Fun

I know...isn't that owl-key {haha...just made that up!} CUTE?

I used another SWEET image from the Fall Fun set:

Oh my Goodness...isn't that fox just adorable?!!!!

It's a super clean & simple design...I stamped and fussy cut the fox out...colored the white parts with my Inkssentials pen and then distressed the image with memento rich cocoa ink.  I darkened the image with a black copic marker so that the outline would POP.  He's on a glue dot and I finished up the card with a white stitched border..

Apple Pickin' Time

How do you like my sassy take?

I just knew I had the perfect paper to team up with the fun sentiment from Apple Pickin' Time!!  I like how it makes the sentiment pop and really, I didn't think I needed any other embellies because of the fun paper and stitching:)

I was inspired by the latest Unscripted Sketches:

I had fun putting this card together...it is 4.25 x 4.25.  The sentiment is the Co-Branding efforts of EAD Designs and Paper Smooches.

The stamps are from Paper Smooches Friendly Flowers.

I was inspired by the Paper Smooches Spark!

I was inspired by the colors and the layout of the picture.

The patterned paper is MMEII/Rosy and the cardstock is PTI kraft and New Leaf.

and as always....

A ginormous Woot Woot for our September Guest Designer:

Haven't The Craft's Meow Sneaky Peeks been fun?!!!!  This new line up is fantabulous...you gals are going to L-O-V-E them!!!!!!

Today we are previewing:

As We Gather

Kaitlyn Ord's first stamp set!

I know I've typed it before, and I'll type it again...Fall is my favorite season!

Here's my lil card for today:

This is a petite 4.25 x 4.25...perfect size for the Jenni Bowlin 4 inch papers that I used.  The Craft's Meow stamps....Stamp Like a Dream...seriously...look at all that wonderful detail on Mr. Turkey...LOL.

Yup, mine is a smidge CAS...didn't embellie as much since the paper is so busy and my lovely orange thread is a wee bit brighter than I had anticipated {thinking it is like construction worker orange..yipes...that's bright}

I was also inspired by the current Scrappy Saturday Challenge:

Patterned Paper

I used a smidge of Patterned Paper:)

u make me...

It's me again...real time bloggin'

I have tons of DT homework...tons...and what was I doing?  Makin' a card to post for today...I can't seem to take a day off...but bottom line, I enjoy it...a.lot.

It's been much too long since I played with MME's Fine and Dandy:

Although it might not look like it, I thought alot about this card...especially AFTER I initially cut through the bias stripe panel and realized that I didn't cut them so they would line up...I typically would have stitched all around each of those 3 panels but decided against it...it would have interrupted the flow of the bias so I settled with the smidges of zig zags in each of the 4 corners.

Here's a cose up of the Lily Bee alpha I used to complete the sentiment:

Banners...who can resist them?  seriously.

All the supplies except for the PTI kraft base and the Lily Bee stickers are from the Fine and Dandy collection.

I was inspired by the MME sketch that closes, tonight...way to procrastinate Amy:)

Okay peeps...have a great Sunday.  I'll be back tomorrow with the EAD Designs Blog Hop AND the start of The Craft's Meow October Previews....October Ladies....it is almost October...oy vey.  Also don't forget about the LESSology Trinket Box Challenge.  Our super Sponsor is Market Street Stamps!  Check out the SWEET prize:

recipe of life...

Happy Saturday!

I have tons to do today...get a pedi and take my car in for an oil change {in def order of importance!} along with some serious crafting this weekend.

I'm real time blogging and slammed this layout together this morning:

The base is super old MME...Life Stories...I love it for all the Kraft goodness...If I don't like the pattern, I'll flip the paper upside down and BAM I gotta full on Kraft Base:)

Today's pattern is recipes...hence my title:

recipe of life:

savor

Do you have words that are chock full of impact for you?  One of mine would be savor...to savor the moment....to savor the memories because time flies...to savor the small things in life.

Here's a close up of the layout:

The photo is by my boy and the model is my girl {what great teamwork, eh?!}.

I was talking to a former neighbor of mine and we were commenting on the fact of how quickly the kids are growing.  My girl is a junior in high school this year and although I wasn't one of those momma's that cried when she put her kid on the school bus for the first day of kindergarten {okay, I did follow the bus to the school..} I can guarantee you that I will be an emotional wreck when she goes off to college.

So, I'm savoring the now...

I ♥ this week's sketchy thursday challenge:

Okay, really Sketchy Thursdays is one of my "go to" sites for layouts....THRILLED to see that I was a 9/15 Fav ♥ !

RAK & BRAK

Check out the Owlie-licious card that I received from the fabulous Rose:

It's absolutely screaming my name!!!!!

Good grief, check out all these goodies I received from Angi!

I know, right?  That girl is generous...above & beyond!

Thanks sooooooo much ladies, you gals are supah stars!!!!

Do you remember a couple weeks ago I did a shout out for organizing tips?  I had 8 link ups but a gazillion tips from chickies that didn't link up and added it with their comment:)

So......Here are the gals that linked:

Send me your snail mails...okay, so I have some of them but send them anyways:)  I'll send you out something!

2 tips that stand out for me have to do with 6x6'ers:

Store them in the Photo Boxes {check...I just bought some from M's...KRAFT ones! Thanks Rose!}
pop them in Quart ziplocks so you can also store the scraps {FAB idea Alice...I'll send you out something too!}

So, if you're in need in some organizing tips...check out this post...pics with linkies and also read the comments!!!!

Thanks so much ladies!!!!!

around the christmas tree...

Hey there, it's me playing with the gals over at Jingle Belles.

This week at Jingle Belles we're going digital. We'd like you to create a card incorporating at least one digital stamp or element in your card design.

I've really stepped away from the digi-world....I haven't gotten into the fancy smancy programs to do digital designs and quite frankly I'm surprised I can even manage the ole digital watermarks on my projects..LOL.  So when I saw the latest JB Challenge, I pondered what I was going to do...
I was reminded of

...where I found the "Around the Christmas Tree" sheet music.  Perfect-o for me to layer my well-hoarded Collage Press chippies.  The clouds are ala a*muse studio.

Well, there you have it...you should check out all the eye candy over at Jingle Belles....

Let me close with a funny that I spotted over at Megan's blog:  Moonbeam Wishes

Oh good grief, makes me crack up everytime....yes, I'm the 1%.

I managed to combine

along with Timeless Tags

I had fun with the current Card Patterns sketch:
♥ okay, I may have simplified the sketch a smidge ♥

Do you see the oval chippie I used on my card?  It is actually an upcycled coaster from a hotel:)  All the patterned paper is MMEII/Rosy.
