雛祭り Hina-matsuri aka Girl's Day

March 3 is Hina Matsuri (Doll Festival or Girls' Festival), when people pray for the happiness and healthy growth of girls. Families with young daughters mark this day by setting up a display of dolls inside the house. They offer rice crackers and other food to the dolls.

I confess that I'm probably the least Japanese...although I do love my gohan {rice}.  But I've been smitten by all the Asian inspired paper crafting products that have hit the market since CHA Winter.

I introduce you to

{{sigh}}

Isn't she a-dorable?

I teamed her up with my FIRST Authentique 6x6

Uncommon

When I was organizing last Sunday I caught sight of a package of Doodlebug Paper Posies...I knew they'd be super sweet with this little girl!

She looks so sassy with her pearl earrings....psst...my black copic went wild on me so that's the reason for her fancy earrings {wink}.

It's a sentiment-less card...perfect as I'll be sending it to my girl so that it arrives to her today {she's with her Dad this weekend}.

I was inspired by the latest {Freshly Made} Sketch:

This is a {bad} pic that I, me, myself and I took...sheesh, check out the contrast between mine and the boy's...yipes...but here's the funny thing...spot the blooper in my picture?

Leave me a comment if you see it...believe it or not, I didn't see it until I went to put my watermark on the card...BTW, I have fully employed the boy to take photos {when he isn't doing homework}.
