Thanks Jar.

I feel the need to play the lottery so I can win big and stay home all day and soak up the Cameo goodness:)  These tags happen to be my first project with the Cameo {5th time is a charm}.  After several bumps I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

Before I chat about today's card I want to let you know that there were several people that inspired it but it started HERE.  Linda from Catered Crop, if you don't follow her, once you pop over there, I guarantee you will now.  She is a wonderful Paper Artist and when I read THIS post in particular, it hit me several ways....the story....Vera's card drive....and last but not least, her gorgeous project.

Introducing my first Cameo card:

I know, big shocker that it is a mason jar.  I had so much fun putting this together and I assure you, my work top showed it...there was paper e v e r y w h e r e...

I also wanted to give a big shout out to my bloggie friend Sherry.  She has been so supportive of me and my Cameo journey:)  I tend to be a procrastinator...so she'd send me encouraging emails asking if I cracked open my box yet or not....If I needed any help....Thanks so much Sherry, I really appreciate your patience with me!!!!!!!

Needless to say, I'm hooked.

This particular card uses some older Crate paper Collections...I managed to do a smidge of stamping and included a hijacked SRM sentiment {hijacked as I cropped it from it's original format}.  See that wonderful twine with the metallic thread?  Oh my goodness...I need to seriously stock up on that stuff!!!!  That was just a small part of a wonderful RAK from thee JJ Bolten!

The Paper Crafting Community on Facebook so rocks!  I have been doing Cameo posts and everybody is so helpful...I love this community.

You may have gotten a slow start, but you are on Cameo fire now, Girl! I love those tags you made, and love the card, too! Never get tired of cute mason jars. This one with the sweet paper piecing and adorable label is fabulous. Really love the doily and all the papers, and this looks so great with the pops of black!

well, you did it. i RAN upstairs, pulled out my Silhouette SD-because it still meets my needs--but i'm working on needing the cameo--and bought the jar, made a card and am posting it tomorrow!! love, love, love!!

I love the Mason jar! Especially with an ~amy~ touch of genius using a fun hexagon paper.

Yay for success with your Cameo! I am tempted, but then again, I still have had no success with my Gypsy that I got for Christmas last year. Hmmm....

Oh me too, me too!!! I got a Cameo and I have such an AWFUL feeling of guilt letting it sit in the box. I'm so grateful for it, but I tried it once when I had only a 15 minute window and it didn't click, so now I have this mental road block. I signed up for a class (Leigh Penner is attending too) that starts Nov 1st so that will for sure get me started. Love what you did with it - the tags, the mason jar, everything! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Wow! I love the cameo tags! I am so tempted to buy the cameo, and now that the portrait is coming out with a more budget-friendly price tag, I'm even more tempted to get the machine :P I just loveeee the negative die cuts!
