thank you...

Sunday, already?

I'm getting ready to have a piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast:)  My kids learned how to make their grandmother's super secret and delicious pumpkin pie recipe yesterday!

I have a card that I whipped up this morning:

That woodgrain circle is from the Hero Arts/Studio Calico My Happy set.  The bird is part of that set too, I inked him up in black and then paper pieced him with some blue MME paper.  I added the iridescent sequins to illuminate the  tree blooms...it's actually a fun look.

After I had adhered the stamped panel onto the patterned cardstock base I realized that I forgot to stamp the sentiment...grrr.

I've learned that it is never good for me to stamp on a panel after it has been glue dotted down...never fails, I always make a mistake....

I whipped out one of the Melissa Frances' rubon sheets that I picked up at CKC yesterday....BAM, it's done!

I wanted to share some pics from CKC:

I met up with Chunyuan!  The last time we saw each other was at the A Muse sale in July 2011.

I also was able to spend some quality time with Joscie!

Another fun filled weekend...today we're catching a movie and I also need to catch up with some crafting!

This is too cute! I love the sequins (just so you know, it took me 3 tries to spell it. The pumpkin pie is distracting!) Love that he's got 'speech lines' coming from his little birdie mouth :)

CAS fabulousness - another one I am casing :>) Looks great with the sequins. I am with you, no stamping after it is all put together I inevitably need to hide a mistake.
