How can I tell...other than all the Spring Showers?

My Camillia is blooming!  It is planted right outside my big kitchen window and I'm anxious to get a pic of it when it is in full bloom...

So, of course, I have a springy card to share:

This uses the My Little Shoebox Up In The Trees Collection!

My Little Shoebox is having a little challenge:

Journal Tags!

I love them because they are so versatile!  It's a great little canvas to start with....add some stickers and some stitching and BAM...it's done:)

Ok peeps...today is filled with craftiness and errands....

Thanks for stoppin' by!

thanks...

I know...I pulled out my PTI goodness for this card...you've got the right blog {wink}

This is not typically my color combo eh, pastels....

That my friends, is why I love a good challenge:

The challenge is to use pastels with black.  I love to heat emboss with black..makes for a crisp outline.   Can you believe it, this card is pure stamping...no patterned paper!  I topped off the card with a SRM sticker and some twine from The Twinery.

I was inspired by the latest CPS sketch:

I haven't played over there in a very long time...

I gotta share my latest 'go-to' product...

Seriously, every stamper NEEDS a pink stamping block!  It's the perfect size, 3" x 4", and my go-to block with all my unmounted stamps!!!

check it out at ivyPINK's etsy shop!

konnichiwa...

Good Afternoon

I super   the Konnichiwa line by Basic Grey.

The Konnichiwa flower image, by Hero Arts/Basic Grey, has been heat embossed in white.  The ribbon image, which has also been heat embossed in white, is Hero Arts/Studio Calico.

You may remember that I received a $50 shopping spree to Hero Arts....wooooo hoooo....decisions...decisions...One of my purchases was the 6x6 Konnichiwa pad..love that they carry the paper collections that match their stamps.

I was inspired by the latest retro sketch:

Still playing with the Hero Arts fans with this month's theme

thanks to my bloggie buddie Janice that pointed out the new Young Crafters Unite challenge:

I'm recovering from my daughter's birthday festivities...she went out with a group of her friends on friday night and had dinner and saw The Hunger Games....I made them all pancakes with strawberries & whip cream and bacon for breakfast yesterday.

In the afternoon the kids and I drove to Seattle, swapped out a pair of Toms I got the girl for a different size and had dinner at the

Talk about delish homestyle food....

Afterwards we met up with some fab friends and had gelato...She opened up the rest of her presents at 9:38 pm, which is the exact time she was born...a ton of fun for my girl that turned 17.

The Skipping Stones: Thank You

this is my post 1 of 2...make sure you check out my The Craft's Meow post!

Hello and Welcome to Skipping Stones Design Tuesday!

I've been thoroughly enjoying being a Guest Designer for Skipping Stones Design!

Check out this week's sketch:

Initially I was pretty challenged by the sketch....but what I ended up doing is stamping some of the various backgrounds...heat embossing them in gold and punching circles:

Super easy smeasy and I love the look!  Some of the circles don't show their gorgeous gold color but they have been all gold heat embossed.  I finished off the sentiment with some Martha gold glitter...glitter...I adore glitter.

I used the Skipping Stones Design:

and

One of the things I love about this card is that it could be easily feminine {girls would appreciate the gold heat embossing & glitter} or masculine {guys would appreciate the non-frilliness of the design}....doesn't get much better than that, does it?

Make sure you pop over to the Skipping Stones Design blog to check out all the projects for this week!
