Inspired by Feature Tuesday....

Do you know when you cruise through Google Reader and you spot cards/projects that you just totally know who designed it without looking at their blog...I love that...totally sings signature style.

I don't think that I have a signature style, although you all know how I love to combine colors and patterns, and have to stitch on everything.

Well, yesterday I came across THIS gorgeous card and loved it.  I totally knew it was an Audrey creation.

It inspired this card...

I had to do without scallops because I didn't have my old school fiskars template with me...

New things to me:

patterned paper base the same size as the cardstock base
I never do that and definitely love this look.

Check out all that twine action
You know that I love The Twinery but my use is pretty basic on cards...I love the double wrapping and the loopies under the bloom.

Leaf-age
I love blooms but typically don't add a sprig or leaf...I like how the leaf adds a nice unexpected pop of color {see Sunday's post about whimsicality}

Thanks Audrey for all the inspiration that you give me....I truly appreciate your style!

All the paper is Echo Park Everyday Eclectic, the feltie bloom is Pebbles, the sentiment is vintage A Muse, green cardstock is from my May 2012 Studio Calico 35 mm kit and of course, The Twinery.

It's that time again...

Paper Issues is at it again!

Paper Issues Blog Design

The newest challenge has posted!

I had fun with this one....

Today is thee day...

do it.

What have YOU been procrastinating?

Come on...we all do it...or should I type 'don't do it' since we're chatting about procrastinating.

I've been admiring the whimsical thread action of some fab scrapbookers so I finally gave it a try.  Do you know how hard it was to resist clipping those sprigs?!!!!!

I finally broke into my Freckled Fawn stash...laid it down with the hopes of some wrinkles...BAM...think and it shall happen...yet again, I had to resist the urge to try to peel up the tape to flatten it out...

I'm trying to be more whimsical:

Um, did you catch my post from yesterday?  It's when I flat out said that I'm predictable..so now you know how whimsicality is a challenge for me:)

Gotta love the Echo Park Everyday Eclectic Collection.  I teamed it up with some Sassy alphas {thanks Cassie!} and my card base is by
Gmund Savanna..111 lbs of woodgrain embossed goodness.

predictability...

Those that know me know that I'm predictable.

I love to have consistency in my life.

I'm no rebel.

Why yes, that is a jar...{smiles}

I never seem to tire of the Dear Lizzy/Neapolitan Collection.

Pssstt....The Twinery is having a sale this weekend!  Time to

s t o c k  u p!!!

I was inspired by the new retrosketch:

and the

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

It's been like forever since I played over at MFW!

I was inspired by:

The banners
The white
The ruffles = scallops

Work has me, well, exhausted...so exhausted that this beauty has been waiting for me to set him up:

I finally have my iPhone....my white iPhone 4S
{to coordinate with my white iPod}

I kept hoping my current carrier would add the iPhone to their line up but no such luck.

This meant changing carriers...porting numbers...setting up new accounts...ugh.

It'll be all worth it:)

Guest Designing @ The Twinery!

I've had so much fun as a Guest Designer over at The Twinery!

Today I'm sharing a project that uses Maraschino!

When I think of twine, I think of the classic red/white!

Here's an altered tin that makes a fantastic giftie:

Okay, who wouldn't love a twine wrapped coffee cup sleeve?

I'm a big fan of the 'ole belly band.  It makes the tin easily accessible and re-giftable!

Check out the interior...I did a little stitching and actually sewed down the button so that the Maraschino would work as a perfect clasp!

Can you guess what the 'liner' is?

It's a coffee filter {smiles}...

check out the giftie...

Well, of course it is a Starbucks card!

I {heart} The Twinery!

Thank you so very much for inviting me to be a Guest Designer!

I'd be oh-so-grateful if you'd leave me some bloggie love over at The Twinery!

EAD Designs: Cork Card Candy

Hello and Welcome to the EAD Designs Blog Hop!
{it officially starts at 7 am pacific}

You should have arrived here from Super Shellye's Blog

If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the EAD Designs Blog.  Remember, every week there is FREE goodies to be won by a lucky commenter.  All you need to do is leave comments along the way as you hop!

A big THANK YOU to our July Guest Designer, Kate!

We loved having you this month!!!

So, on Saturday I spent some quality time at Impress and Daiso, the Japanese Dollar Store.

See these?

I bought a package of the round ones that are 1.75 inches in diameter and made Cork Card Candy:

They make super easy card embellishments!

The first 2 cards are 4x4:

I haven't dabbled in black card bases in awhile but I like how it makes the cork and sentiment POP!

This particular card is a wee 3x3:

The reason is two fold...based on the sentiment... didn't want to seem like I was shouting, but it was also so I could squeeze out 3 card bases from an 8.5 x 11 inch card stock:)

I used 3 different EAD Designs Rub ons:

I still have the "LOL" one...I'm going to use that on a layout instead of a card:)

I was inspired by

Hey, don't forget about the EAD Designs Color Challenge:

Remember, the winner gets to be our August Guest Designer!

So now hippety hop over to Jenn's fabbie place
