Timeless Twine: Kawaii Mittens

busy day on my blog...post 1 of 2...click HERE for a special Skipping Stones Design blog hop!

Hello and Happy Monday!

I'm over on the Timeless Twine blog today!

Here's a peek at my project:

I used Timeless Twine's

I contacted the artist of those CUTE mittens to find out if I could post my project using her PDF and she said yes!  If you pop over to the Timeless Twine blog, I have the PDF linked :)

A little bit about the book I used...My father was the Editor of the book and gave it to me back in 1997, just before my boy was born.  I chat a ton about my Momma here but not so much my Dad.

He passed away in 1999 of lung cancer as a non-smoker.  It's my personal opinion that it was due to second hand smoke he endured while living in Japan.

Sadly, I didn't have much of a relationship with my Father....we moved when I was in 2nd grade.  I remember he would take us to places like  THIS.....and I'd be horribly bored but as an adult, I love to go to museums.  I attribute graduating from the University of Washington in 2006 to my Dad.  He never had a 'poker face' and those that know me, know that I don't either.

This post is dedicated to my Dad.  I'm certain that he'd be proud that I'm pursuing my passion.

That book sounds like an amazing keepsake for your father to have given you, just before becoming a mother yourself. (((hugs)))
I lack poker face too - I wear everything right out there in the open.
Love those sweet mittens :)

Amy your post is a lovely tribute to you Dad. I am so sorry you lost him too young. I lost my brother to lung cancer 5 years ago, but sadly he was a smoker. Your mitten are just simply the cutest!
