Okay, work with me here until I can tell you how I was inspired by the challenge:

I know, I know...You're thinking, where's the cake?

Here was my process:

So I'm feeling pretty clever with my stamping on the lower right hand corner of my card.  Gotta love the Across the Card set...not only does it have awesome sentiments, but it also has just the thin line.

I had the Sketchy Cupcakes set out, fully ready to do a fussy cut delish little cupcake to put, yes, in the lower right hand corner of my card.

GAH, it wasn't going to fit!

What the heck?

Why didn't I measure?
(well, because I'm lazy)

So, in an attempt to save my card, I thoroughly scanned the card front and saw the empty label in the upper left hand corner.

(light bulb flicks on)

Yes!

I inked up the Hey Sweets sentiment from Sketchy Cupcakes in Fresh Ink/Mango.  It almost looks like it is part of the paper design, doesn't it?!

cake = sweets

(happy  smug smile)

I popped a couple of the oh-so-fabulous buttercream sequins and called it finished.
