peace love and happiness

I posted this on FB yesterday...I'm trying really hard to use what I have!

I'm super fortunate to work part-time so I have Friday's off.  They are the start to my crafty weekend.  Although I always tell myself I should do my 'chores' first...well, that isn't necessarily how things roll :)

I had fun with what I think are classic Paper Smooches:

I think Friendly Flowers and Pretty Phrases were some of my earliest Paper Smooches purchases!

I'm a huge fan of non-traditional Christmas cards and this will go into my sparse collection.  I definitely need to get in gear with mass production!

I used the Gelatos to color the blooms.

The ink splashes?
Imagine Crafts/Fireworks/Bahama Blue
(my new FAV ♥♥♥)

Isn't it wonderfully bright, vibrant and wow?!

The grid paper is ala A Muse.

Something that I find to be a challenge are color combos.  Do you notice that I don't tend to play along with those as much?  There are some AWESOME challenge blogs that sling out thee most delish color combos but it makes me f  r  e  a  k   o  u  t!

You may or may not remember that I was on the Play Date Cafe design team.  Such an awesome team but WHEW, that would always challenge my crafty side.  Basic Grey paper pads were my best friend.  Patting myself on the back that today's card was not the case.  I had fun!

So, yes, I am playing with the Paper Smooches Sparks

The Paper Smooches Sparks team is such an inspiration...

Along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge:

Love seeing how Design Teams tackle the same challenge so differently!

Fabulous card; wonderful colours for a Christmas card! Like you, I run the other direction from colour challenges. My ink stash is to blame, as I have like, oh...five colours! Have a fabulous crafting weekend! If you have a great 'mass produce' project, please share: ideas desperately needed :)

Love, love this card! So loving that sentiment in black on the kraft base, and the pop of color from the flowers and splatter is amazing. The gelatos do such a fun job of coloring. I think you totally nailed the color combo challenge, my friend! Awesome!

Colour challenges give me the heebie-jeebies too! I always feel like I have to use ALL THE COLOUR and they never look balanced. This one is perfect! And who does chores before fun stuff? Not me :)

I have a set of Gelatos that just stare at me because I am afraid of them!!! It's such a beautiful look on your flowers - such rich colors - and they pop beautifully on the kraft.
