washi hello

I've been pinning quite a bit so I decided to do something about that.

I LOVE this pin.  BIG fan of Kim's work and thought her design was perfect to inspire me to use some of the many rolls of washi that I own.

I kept my design postal friendly.

I like the idea of adding contrasting stitching for interest.  This particular card uses orange, it's vintage thread on a wooden spool

I can't tell you where I can ordered the washi except for that gorgeous wide floral is from a Studio Calico Card kit.  The Hello die cut is Basic Grey and the 'chica' is vintage EAD Designs.

I used the same black and white washi on my second card but threw in some hot pink!  The thread is actually from daiso {Japanese dollar store} on a cardboard spool {a contrast to my orange spool} and is yellow.

The yellow die cut tab is from a Paper Issue kit and the thank you is another EAD Designs sticker.

Can I tell you that I'm the verge of finishing off my 4th spool of washi?  I know, quite the accomplishment!  I don't know why I hoard the stuff...

I'll be back tonight at 9 pm pacific for a special post!

Happy New Year!

OK, I'm impressed with your washi cards, AND that you have finished 4 spools already. That's a LOT of washi usage! I just have one that's half way done, and that's only because I use it to hold things down on my unstickey Silhouette mat.
