Okay, my disclaimer to Washingtonians, use your imagination:

I realize that the Space Needle is not red.  I did more of a literal interpretation of the inspiration.

I was inspired by:

1. colors
2. raindrops
3. umbrella = Seattle
4. Seattle = Space Needle

I used craft foam for the Space Needle die....actually my boy did the die cutting:)  Originally, I used American Crafts Silver Glitter paper but I LOVE the pop from the red foam, what do you think?

What inspires you?

Make sure you pop over to the Fusion blog so you can find out who our spectacular guest designers are!!!!!

Seize the Birthday: let's celebrate!

We're back with a new sketch over on Seize the Birthday!

We're working on both masculine and feminine birthday cards!

Remember you have 2 weeks to complete a birthday card, or two or more, and link up!

Our Super Sponsor is

Here's how I was inspired by the sketch:

I used Neat & Tangled's stamp set, Party Dots.  The banner and sentiment are from that set.  You can't quite tell from the photo but it has been stamped on a pale grey paper to compliment the American Crafts silver glitter paper.

The patterned paper is from the Studio Calico May Card kit and I used a SRM sticker.

Can you read the patterned paper?

Love you to the stars and back.

sigh.

Stashing this card away for Darin's next birthday.

Make sure you check out the Seize the Birthday blog for all the deets about our Super Sponsor and to see what the other gals on the Design Team created!

Shine bright...

Hello and Happy Sunday!

I was hoping this weekend was going to be filled with crafting and staying in my jammies all-day-long, but it isn't quite working out that way.

That's okay, it's all good.

I've been behind on challenges.  There are so many out there, it tends to get a bit overwhelming for me since I have a limited time for crafting:

Yes, I love color.

Yes, I love patterns.

Yes, I love texture.

I've been wanting to ink up the Strictly Sentiment set by WPlus9, a steal at only $6!  The "happy birthday" has been selectively inked, meaning I dropped the 'to you!'.

I was patting myself on the back using those Basic Grey pins...to coordinate with the sentiment.

I was {thoroughly} inspired by the

Seriously, what's not to love about all those colors and goodness?!!!!!

I also managed to incorporate Lisa's fantastic sketch:

no. 5

I've been a long-time fan of Lisa's sketches!!!  She rocks.
