Paper Made Bakery: A quick review.

Can you believe it is the last day of July?

July brings an end to my term over at Paper Made Bakery.

I've been super fortunate to have spent 2 terms on the team.  I've loved every moment of it.  The kits are fabulously fun and Shannon is wonderful!

I thought I'd do a quick run down on some of my FAVorite projects:

Hello and Welcome Back to the Fusion Card Challenge!

Make sure you pop over to the Fusion blog for some announcements, including new Design Team Members!

Here's our new challenge:

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Experiment Page before playing along.

I challenged myself to go the Fusion route but thinking outside of the box, can you guess how I was inspired?

I used the sketch and instead of going the obvious nautical route, I decided to go with the colors and by highlighting the ocean.  That map paper from the Basic Grey Hey You pad is perfect, dontcha think?  Everything is from Basic Grey, including the fantastic Hello die cut.

Please pop over to the Fusion blog for more inspiration, including from our newest Design Team Members!

hello crafty friend.

Um, not sure why it's taken me so long to ink up Paper Smooches I Heart Art set!

The woodgrain cardstock is by the German company, GMUND.  The brad is October Afternoon's Woodland Park Collection.

nautical thanks

Hello and Happy Monday!!

On Saturday I did some power shopping at Impress:

Fresh Ink:  Navy, Red Currant & Island

A big shout out to Impress for celebrating their 26th Birthday!!!  Isn't that awesome?!

All the stamps except the sentiment are by Impress.  The sentiment is a freebie from Avery Elle.  I had the chevron but I don't think I've inked it up.  The other two are brand new purchases inspired by this card that I snapped a pic of in the Impress shop:

edited to add that Novell let me know that this is a Julie Ebersole creation!

The tag is thin wood...it is from Impress and wait for it, I used my corner chomper on it!  I actually have a bunch of the business card sized wood sheets but never thought of shaping them!  This is exactly why I savor my visits to Impress!

I was inspired by Lisa's latest sketch:

The nautical theme is compliments of

Curtain Call

I'm such a fan of Stacey's and thrilled that I am able to play along.  I mean really, who doesn't the nautical trend?

Speaking of nautical trends, thanks to Niki G who reminded me of the Paper Crafts July Nautical Challenge!

Here's to a fabulous week!

banner birthday

Good Morning!

This poor card is a 2 time pub sub reject BUT I still love it!

It's the facial expression of those kids, so stinkin' adorable.  It absolutely makes me smile!

Chock full of October Afternoon's Calkwalk collection.  I added a clothespin from Pebbles and a tiny SRM Happy Birthday sticker.  Everything is sitting on Timeless Twine Lemonade Yellow.

Yesterday was a super fun day for me!

I helped out at Seattle's Scrap Expo!

I had the fabulous opportunity to work the Avocado Arts Booth!

Here's a pic with Michelle, owner of Avocado Arts:

Seriously, how cute is she?!!!!!

I actually met her at the 2012 CKC Seattle and LOVED her energy!!   I'm thrilled to be on her Design Team and to be able to work the booth.

Guess who stopped by the booth?

Kimberly of Wienerhoneymooners!

This is actually the 2nd time I've met Kimberly but the first time for a photo!  Have you checked out her blog?  She's on fire with her cards and creativity!

Okay, that's it for me!

Today is the boy's family birthday party!
