Avery thanks

Hello!

It is a late posting day for me.

I decided to ink up some Avery Elle stamps and combined Rounded Diamonds with Simply Tags.  I used the rounded diamonds die on the cork.  I was digging around my embellishments and found the tab, Jillibean bloom & Lawn Fawn epoxy dew drop!

I'm playing along with the Avery Elle sketch:

Here's a snippet of my work space in my craft room after completing this card:

Earlier today, I posted a pic of my Crafting Hallway:

My world is going to be shaken up in the next several weeks.  It's all good!  I'm combining crafting areas.  So what does that mean?  I won't be toggling between 2 different households...finally making the household with the craft room my primary home (big smiles).

For you locals, this could potentially be great news to you.  I'm going to be having a mega garage sale because I have duplicates and well, just a ton of stuff.  Good news, it is going to be a multi-crafter sale!  More deets to come but if you're interested, email me, my contact stuff is on the right sidebar --->

whale done!

I finally inked up the super cute Reverse Confetti Happy Harbor set:

That seahorse is seriously c  u  t  e.

I was able to ink up 2 of the fun sentiments!

I used the sketch from the current Fusion Card Challenge:

Last week I was inspired by the photo.

I hope that you'll play along with us!

neat & tangled Birthday Bash!

Aren't you having fun with all the great birthday festivities over on Neat & Tangled and the Little Tangles Challenge blog?!

I was up on the Little Tangles blog on Monday and wanted to share my cards on my blog.

One of my VERY fav is the Sunburst image.  At just under 3x4, it's a great size to layer goodies onto:

I have fussy cut the Just Thinking of You cloud and have it on foam dots.

**tip**
Having it spill onto the kraft card base gives the card visual interest.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Sketchy Cupcakes set.

**tip**
Selectively inking up sentiments can give your sets a whole new look.

Next up is Ink Splash

I teamed it up with Swirly Twirly Tags & Party Dots.   There's something about the Ink Spash image that always has me grabbing for the neon inks!

**tip**
Ink Splash is the perfect way to add a pop of color to your project!

I decided to fussy cut the same Amy Tangerine yellow blooms that coordinate with the chevron panel.  I wanted that Neon Pink Splash to **sing**!!

I always love to see craft spaces and storage techniques.

I thought I'd share my stamp storage:

It's a variation of Jennifer McGuire's.  I use THESE Office Depot clear pockets.  If you go with my system, make sure you bring your phone or bring the screen print from their online store, it's cheaper than retail and they have been price matching for me.  I use THESE bins from Target, I buy them retail.

A big shout out to Danielle for her 1 year celebration AND a big woot woot for Ren-Yi who has been rockin' the blog posts!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

never underestimate...

I posted this on Facebook the other day:

I love the new Paper Trey Ink Latte Love set:

I actually bought it for the sentiments.  I'm not too thrilled with the stacked cups.  I like 'to go' cups or single coffee mugs.  So I decided to ink it with Fresh Ink Mango and then stamp the sentiment {in turquoise} over it.  See the "coffee" in the upper left hand corner, yup, that's from the set too.

I'm going to call with a one layer card...technically it isn't because the panel has been adhered to the card base but hey, it's a non-bumpy card, that's a huge deal in my book.

Yup, still using the Authentique Summer collection!

WOW!

Cheeky

That's what today's card is:

Similar to my card from last week, the top panel has been cut shorter than the bottom panel to allow for the chevron to shine.  I'm still havin' fun with my Authentique Summer collection.

I'm really lovin' this sketch from my Seize the Sketch teamie, Cathy:

Little Tangles Month Long Birthday FUN!

Today I'm sharing a card using some of my favorite Neat & Tangled sets over on the Little Tangles Blog!

I have some tips and I might be sharing some other things too...Pop on over to

Happy Monday!

I'm up on the Timeless Twine blog today, I'd ♥♥♥ it if you'd pop over and say Hello!

One of my favorite colors to work with these days is yellow.

I'm still in ♡♡♡ with this Authentique Summer paper collection.  There is something about blue and yellow that screams happy.  Let's face it, we all need happy on a Monday morning {and lotsa coffee!}.

The Timeless Twine Lemonade Yellow is perfect with the Authentique colors!

Reverse Confetti's Peacock Pretties is such a lovely set, gotta love that quote.

Twine can really balance out your project and give it that finishing touch!

Timeless Twine

I'm also playing along with the

Timeless Twine

Don't forget about the new Delish

Without really paying attention to it, I've been noticing that I've been stepping away from stitching on my cards.  Sometimes I think that the paper says it all and well, I don't need that extra step, it could also be me being lazy {wink}.  I've been super busy at work & home so it's been a challenge to carve out crafty time, I need to make each minute of it count.  The funny thing is, I DO make room for crafty time because it balances out all the other craziness, kwim?

Well, I'm back in the office today but I'm already looking forward to the upcoming 3-day weekend!  Big changes for me on the horizon which I'll share in the next week or so.

Remember to Pop on over to Timeless Twine to say Hello!

thanks ever so much

I've been wanting to ink up some Jane's Doodles

What's that?  Why yes, it is a one-layer card!
{cue the trumpets}

I find one-layer cards a real challenge.  To all you gals that are consistently rockin' the one-layer goodness, I 'high five' you...

I super love that big 'ole jar!  It's actually the first time that I've inked up the butterflies....The sentiment is Paper Smooches.

I was inspired by the Moxie Fab World's

I was inspired by the pinks...the solid images and the outlines...

Thanks for stoppin' by!

OH.EM.GEE

So I had the the week off from work...I say that loosely as I ended up working almost 20 hours...gah.  What I had intended on concentrating on is a TON of home projects which I'll explain later.

BUT one of the days that I went into work, I had something to look forward to...I was meeting Katie for lunch!  We had salads HERE and ate out on the gorgeous deck overlooking Lake Union.

Check out all the goodness she gave me...

Big Woot Woot to Katie!

That evening, I put some of the stuff to work:

The arrow stamps are Some Odd Girl that I used Fresh Ink/Island & the sentiment {which I love and stacked} is Mama Elephant.

I was inspired by

Patting myself on the back for designing a truly CAS card, not like last week's.

This is Day 2 of painting a total of 4 rooms in my place.  I'm looking forward to the finished look.  Something that I've been meaning to do, and finally getting around to it.

Big shout out to my lovely kidlets that emptied their rooms so that the project could get done.

Fusion #16: Sweet Friend.

Hello and Welcome to the New Fusion Card Challenge!

How fun is this?!

PROCEDURES:
1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Experiment Page before playing along.

I was inspired by the photo:

Don't you love those sequins?

Except for the SRM sentiment, all the other supplies are from my Studio Calico August Card Kit.

This card is meant for the recipient to essentially gently peel away the sequins from the bottom cluster...it's kind of a recycled {or soon to be} card.

Be sure to check out my Fusion teamies:

How are you inspired?

happy birthday sweets!

Have you been keeping up with the Birthday Festivities over on the Neat & Tangled Blog AND the Little Tangles Blog?

I'm back today with a card that I made especially for the current challenge

a  w  e  s  o  m  e.

✱✱BIG thanks✱✱

A couple things about this card that would not be easily spotted by glancing at it...can you guess?

Here we go:

Day 3 of using my Studio Calico August Card Kit paper pad
(notice the 'paint chip' colors on the left hand side of the base panel?)

I managed to use 2, count them two, wood mounted stamps:
A Muse Big Thanks
{I'm going with the 'whimsical' stamping of the sentiment}

Twill:  upcycled from packaging

Twine/button:  upcycled from giftie from Annette {that's one of her FAB buttons!}

I've been admiring the sketches over at

Have a super day!!!!

Seize the Sketch #2: Let the Shenanigans begin!

Hello!

Thanks to all that linked up to Seize the Sketch #1, awesome job ladies!

Check out Seize the Sketch #2, by my wonderful teamie

Big shout out for our Super Sponsor

Let the shenanigans begin!

Well, of course I had to get the Shenanigans set!

How could you not love saying

Shenanigans?!!!!!!

I super love this sketch and can see using it over and over.

The floral is washi that came in my Studio Calico Card kit, so did that blue/speckly panel.  The veneer is from my stash (the bloom was smooshed in Fresh Ink/Red Current) and yes, that fishtail banner is wood...I picked up a package of wood business card sized panels and I can use the paper trimmer and scissors on them without it cracking!

The top fold is essentially 3/4 inch shorter the the base/bottom flap.  That accommodates the floral washi.

CAS-ual Friday Stamps rock...

Be sure to check out the Seize the Sketch blog to see how my teamies were inspired!
