Fusion: Happy Birthday

So, today is day 2 of my 2 day garage sale.  Here's hoping that everything gets sold!

Today I have a couple of cards to share, first up is a card that makes me happy:

I'm trying really hard to build up a healthy birthday card stash.  One of my favorite happy colors is yellow.  I love it.

This is a 3 layer card.  I covered the cardbase with PTI Lemon Tart.  I cut a textured grey panel a smidge smaller and then die cut a circle.  Underneath the grey panel is a white panel that I covered with 2 different washi's.  The yellow classic airmail by freckled fawn and that sweet patterned one...gah, who knows.  It's chock full of goodness...birds, blooms, hearts....and yes, it is the first time I've used it.

Gotta love the Winnie & Walter set, The Big, the Bold and the Happy...

I'm definitely addicted to those awesome BoBunny blooms.  Love that they add a layer of chiffon-y goodness.

The gals over at Fusion tagged me on FB to play along in their current challenge:

I was inspired by the color yellow and of course, the blooms.

I'm also throwing this into the Gallery Idol Flickr Group.

Sheesh, have you peeked into the gallery?  TONS of creative eye candy!

I wanted to go ahead and share my last cards that posted over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog.  I used the newest release, Balloons, for both of my cards.

Here's my masculine card:

This was made specifically for Darin's cousin's son who will be graduating from High School.  I looked up his school colors and yes, they are black & gold.  What do you think?  I used the congratulations (with Delicata) from the Easily Distracted set.

Gold heat embossing = yes please✔

See the black watercolor wash?  While searching for something else, I came across my Twinkling H2O's.   Yay, these will be so fun to play with!  I used Black China on my card.

Next up is my girly card:

I used a technique from Day 2 of the Watercolor for Card Makers class.  Lovin' the Sweet Stamp Shop Balloons set, it's so versatile!  The sentiment is also from the May Bonus release, Happy Birthday.  I stamped everything in Hero Arts Hues black and added a couple of Neat & Tangled Shamrock Satin Sequins.  Everything is nestled onto a PTI New Leaf cardbase.

Okay peeps, that's it for me today!
