CASE Study 198 July Guestie: hey!

Hello!

I'm so very thrilled to let you know that I'm a July guest designer for

I love CASE Study

I'm actually 1 of 2 guest designers & I can tell you that the other guestie is definitely awesome...Tenia Nelson!

Make sure you pop over to the CASE Study blog for all the deets!

Here's the inspiration for this week:

Shari Carroll is the FANtastic Muse for the Month!  I'm such a huge fan of her work!

Here's how her card inspired me:

I love her neutral background and knew that I wanted to start with that gorgeous panel from Teresa Collins' Memorabilia Collection.

The Priority chippie is from the Memorabilia line, the Crystal Clear sequins are from Neat & Tangled.  I recently bought a ton of Technique Tuesday goodies, the 'hey' is from their With Flair set.

So I have a basket full of bits & bobs....pretty much everything else is from that basket.

I CASE'd Shari's overall design and although I was going to go with colorful embellies, I ended up staying with a more monochromatic look...and I like it.

Make sure you pop over to the CASE Study blog for TONS of inspiration!!!

We're 'enjoying' super warm temps here in the PNW.  Personally, I'm happiest when it is 70 degrees so 90+ is too warm for me.  I keep trying to convince Darin that we need AC in the house but he isn't on board (boo!).  The kids and I recently returned from an awesome trip to NY, but I'm grateful we don't have to deal with that type of humidity.

How about you?  What's you FAV temp/weather?

Great creativity Amy. This card is really nice.

I live in the north east in PA. 65 to 75 is my temp. Humidity is my bane as well. Tough to take without some sort of AC.

Congratulations, Amy, and great take on the study! LOVE those clustered elements!

Congrats on your GDT gig. LOVE how you used your bits and bobs. :)

P/s: I just got a new AC installed last month...the old one died and I had to live without one for weeks! You will not enjoy the heat and humidity here...lol.

ooooooooooh how i LOVE this card which i saw last night on the case study blog. (where i may or may not have been plotting a new card, lol!) also love that you have a dish of "bits and bobs" as well! pretty much the main reason i have a journal full of random collages is i HATE to clean up all the tiny little stuffs that accumulate!!! :)

ps re humidity in nyc: honey we TURNED IT DOWN whilst you were here, lol! it's been full-on again since monday and i tell ya it's like trying to breathe SOUP out there!!! bleck! (on the other hand, we do all have AC b/c this happens every year--keep cool!!!) ♥♥♥

pss: we are still NOTHING compared to new orleans, where it is almost to our current BLECK level by may 1st, but if you mention that to a local they say, "oh no, it's not humid today, won't be for another month!" :) :) :) i suppose it's all relative, really?

This is such a gorgeous card, Amy! I love the neutrals here, and love that gorgeous background paper. The clear sequins are really fun and elegant. Totally adore the bit of cork and the way you used the tag.
70-80 degrees is by far my favorite temperature zone....but we don't see a lot of that here in the south during the summer. :)

Fabulous card. How cool is it to CASE Shari C.? I personally can't handle the humidity anymore (that's a MI gal speaking). Germany doesn't really do AC, except for in cars (imagine that) so I know where you're coming from.
