you make life sweet

post 1 of 2 for today...click HERE for Curtain Call Reminder:  Lovely Leaves

Hello!

I've been crafting at a much slower pace these days.  It isn't that my mojo is lacking, it's that I have been overwhelmed with so much inspiration these days.  It's overload on my poor crafty brain.

Here's a clean & simple card:

cardstock:  neenah  paper:  teresa collins/something wonderful  stamps:  jane's doodles/life is good  ink:  memento/tuxedo, copics various  other:  divine twine/black licorice, chickaniddy crafts/enamel heart, impress washi

Simple doesn't pertain to the lack of time, check out all that masking and coloring!

I'm a long time fan of Jane's Doodles:

I was inspired by

I was inspired by:

mason jar
colors
layered parfait = layered strawberries
silverware = silver glitter washi

I was also inspired by

I just rotated the sketch!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by, I'm going to be back at 6 am pacific with my Curtain Call reminder post!

You're right, that is NOT such a simple card. Excellent job, masking your jar of strawberries. And I love the aqua vs more traditional green. Keeps it soft and sweet.

Hi Amy. Long time no see... Love your simple design (I sure need a mason jar stamp in my life), but technically complex card. I hope you'll agree with my definition :). It's true that simple doesn't always mean easy peasy.
Aww. Love a jar of strawberries. I know how much you love jar stamps!

Inspiration overload: YES!! I'm totally afflicted with that, and the net result: crafting paralysis, mainly because too many ideas means zippo focus. Then nothing works! Gahhh...good to hear I'm not alone in said issue! Your card here: beautiful! It looks cas, but getting those berries canned took major work, I know! So sweet!!

I'm suffering from the opposite at the moment...I have one card challenge that I'm determined to enter but all of my ideas have failed..its even keeping me awake at night!! I think you've done the perfect card for the Monday Blues challenge. Those strawberries look delicious and love the strip of silver glitter tape. Its perfection!!

I knew you wouldn't be able to resist the mason jar-ness of the inspiration image, hee hee! Love the delicious strawberries content - that's some serious masking! Thanks so much for playing to find a Cure For The Monday Blues!
