warm thoughts

So, as the year wraps up, have you been pondering your New Years resolutions?

One of mine is to work on Holiday cards throughout the year.  Although I had fun creating 80+ Christmas cards in November, it is something I just don't want to do again in 2015.

I actually don't have a whole lot of Christmas stuff...but it's funny, I remembered this morning that last year I bought the Bundled Up collection and totally did NOT use it for any of my 2014 cards.  So I searched for it and found it:

Seriously, how can you NOT love the Paper Smooches Cool Dudes set?  I teamed it up with the Sentiment Sampler.

I'm playing along with

What's on the agenda today?  I'm going to craft most of the day.  I hope to go to Uwajimaya to check out the New Years platters that I can order.   Japanese custom is to celebrate on the 1st with a ton of Japanese food.  Both my parents were born in Japan but this Japanese girl doesn't eat sushi (as in any of the raw stuff) or use chopsticks.  Many of the traditional NY dishes are things that my brother and I won't eat (or my kids!) so I'll be buying more of the main stream foods.

Big Shout out to the lovely Michele, we chatted on the phone today and it's so nice to put a voice to a blog:)

  21. So cute and I love the way you did your layout.
I too was a fail at holiday card making in 2014 which is why I sent out store bought cards to most people. Maybe we need to do a Christmas card challenge blog to get us going. lol

  25. What cute images and lovely cards, Amy...you have two cards for Christmas 2015 so you are already ahead. I decided last year I would start gift gathering(whether making or purchasing) in January and that lasted a few months. It would be so much easier than shopping or making last minute. But 80 plus is a lot to make and I know you are good to get it done. Enjoy your Monday. I still have family here which is nice! My New Years baby will go home on New Year's Eve. Enjoy your celebrations!

  26. SUPER SUPER cute cards, Amy! I love that you are going to make your Christmas cards throughout the year--- I really should do that too! I never send out holiday cards-- it's too much work at the last minute! But maybe I will send them out if I make them throughout the year! LOL!

THANKS so much for stopping by my blog and leaving love--- your love, support, and comments mean so much to me <3 HUGS!

ps...THANKS for joining in the fun with the PSS sketch challenge:)

  37. I can't believe you forgot about a stamp set??!! Brilliant idea to get started early on your card making.I still can't believe you made 80 over such a short period of time. I mentioned on a blog the other day about how I would miss making Xmas cards and Bonnie emailed me back about the Merry Monday challenge. I didn't even think about Xmas Card challenges, so that's going to be a NY resolution, to join that challenge and other Christmas ones. Much easier to keep this resolution that trying to stop eating M&M's etc........Your cards are so cute by the way, love that little snowman. And your food shopping for NYears sounds rather intriguing, hopefully you can take photos of your big feast, would love to see them!!
