STAMPlorations 2nd Birthday Blog Hop:

Did you hear?!  STAMPlorations is celebrating their 2nd birthday all week?!!!  I'm thrilled to be their guestie for today!

I made 2 birthday cards for the party:

My first card was made especially for a Sweet Birthday Boy who turned 7.

cardstock:  white/recollections/110, mystery gray, ranger watercolor paper  stamps: stamplorations party mates/party time  ink:  fresh ink charcoal, hero arts neon orange ink, hero arts neon orange ink dauber, ranger/archival black  other:  mme enamel dots, circle punch, hemp beading cord

I had fun stamping the birthday background with Party Mates.  The panel is a mystery gray and the ink is Fresh Ink Charcoal.  I did a couple random splats of Hero Arts Neon Orange (ink dauber).  See the tag?  I did some masking...some more splats.  The cupcakes were initially painted (I tried painting) with the Hero Arts neon dye ink but then switched to the ink dauber.  There's a kind of rind looking painting technique...I'm going with it {wink}.  The sentiment...it's from Party Time and yes, I'm late.

Next up is my girlie card:

cardstock:  strathmore watercolor, recollections gold glitter  stamps:  stamplorations/party girl & party time  ink:  ranger/archival/black,  kuretake gansai tambi no. 50

That party dress is from Party Girl.  I think it is beautiful...so classic 50's.  I wanted to let the dress shine so I did a wash of color via my new kuretake gansai tambi set {no. 50}.  I teamed it up with a sentiment from the Party Time set.  To add a bit of glitz, I adhered a strip of gold glitter cardstock.
