how've you bean?

Gotta love a fun pun....

cardstock:  ranger watercolor paper:  glitz/dapper dan  stamps:  newton's nook/vegetable medley  ink: ranger archival black  other:  washi, paper smooches notebook die, kuretake gansai tambi, misc washi

I love the fun Newton's Nook Vegetable Medley set!  I'm playing along with the inky paws challenge:

This was my original card but it wasn't hitting me and well, my girl confirmed it..LOL

So I oh-so-gently pulled the panels off...sadly, I'm pretty good with that.

I love color and patterns but I think the neutral background panels work better with the bright watercolors.

Before I go, I have to share this awesome sale over at Ellen's!

I have a short work week and then we're off to NYC!

Nicely done Amy! I definitely liked the graphic patterns over the floral with those sweet beans.

Omgosh, so adorable, Amy! I am a sucker for a good pun sentiment like this one! Adorable image and fabulous watercoloring. Really love how you used the washi, too, and I agree... totally love the neutrals papers you ended up with!

Lovely cards! I love the washi tape on the first card and the little flags-banners of vellum! Love!

This is adorable!! I LOVE that pun and that fun stamp set. Your neutral background does go better but I LOVE the addition of the Washi. Jazzed it up more then the vellum did.

Shut Up!!! How did this little darling get passed me????!!!! OH MY veggie lovin' word!
Dare I dream this is on the way to my bean-farm in the woods?

Wow. I love that cute little watercolored bean image. Although I don't mind the pattern papers on your original card, I agree that your final layout is much more clean and lets the image stand out more! I love how you used washi tape to create the little flags coming in from both sides! Thanks for linking up to our Inky Paws Challenge at Newton's Nook Designs. Hope you are having a good time in NYC!
