Guest Blogger: Valentine's - Series Part 2

I'm back with my Impress Guest Blogger - Valentine's Day Series!  Today I'm sharing a feminine and masculine card.  Let's get started with the girlie one:

How cute is that Savvy Stamps polar bear with mug?  Mine is a hybrid brown polar version :)  I couldn't resist adding pink cheeks and matching mittens.  She's enjoying a cup of coffee (wink).  I've stamped her with Ranger Archival Black and colored her with Zig Clean Color Markers and a paintbrush.  Do you see the Impress heart border?  I thought I grabbed my Hero Arts white embossing powder but it was the clear.  I like it with the tone on tone look, how about you?

My card was inspired by:

Next up is my masculine card.  If you've been following me for a while, you know that masculine cards continue to be a challenge for me...how do you think I did?

black + gold = WOW

The background is the new Valentine's Day Coloring Book stamp by Impress.  Isn't it beautiful?  I heat embossed it in clear...it adds so much drama to the overall design!

I topped off the card with the Savvy Deer Head die and hello my deer sentiment.

warm hugs

Happy Friday Eve! I made this one especially for the boy:

When he left NYC in mid-December it was in the upper 60's.  Luckily he missed the snow by one day (he went back to NYC on Sunday) but still has to deal with piles of the stuff, soggy feet and empty shelves at the grocery store.

I'm simply smitten with the Concord & 9th's, Let's Chat set.  I used my white chalk marker to color in the leaves...the cup and saucer have been watercolored with my, yes, Zig Clean Color Markers.

I was inspired by the paper players:

I went super clean with the sketch so that I could also link up to:

Adore, I love that and why yes, I adore my boy...my kids...I'm so grateful and thankful for both of them.  I can't believe that my girl will be turning 21 in about 7 weeks...how can that be?

merry and bright

So I literally whipped this up this morning...

I have tons of stuff to do but I just wanted to use that Savvy Stamps Vintage Truck.  I teamed it up with the Impress Large Snowglobe.  I managed to make it a shaker...do you see my early morning sewing?  Don't try this at home!  I used Stampendous Crystal Snow and it's quite literally snowing...everywhere.  Evidently it's leaking from my sewing...so today, I'm going to be covered in glitter.  I'm having lunch with my Mom and ex-MIL so let's see if they say something.

Hopefully you challenge junkies spot knew right away how I was inspired:

I'm also linking up to the Muse challenge:

it's your birthday!

I was totally inspired by my bloggie buddie, Erin's tag over at Tag, You're it!

I was inspired by:

blue ribbon

I'm getting back into ribbon and the awesome Diana Larson sent me this awesome Tropical Summer Crinkle Ribbon.

My tag was colored with Zig Clean Color Markers...love the messy arty style.  Yup, that cute cheeky 'lil monkey is flying up with his handful (or is pawful?) of balloons.

sending you a cup of cheer.

I recently picked up another Christmas 6x6, Fancy Pants Designs:  Wish Seasons.  Oh my, it's up there with Basic Grey's Juniper Berry♡

All the paper is from the Wish Seasons collection....sigh, I adore red and aqua.  Doesn't that little heart floral remind you of Rifle Paper Co?!  Gotta love the MFT Hot Cocoa Cups teamed up with the the coordinating Hug in a Mug stamp set.  The cocoa is cork and the whip is white felt.  I die cut the sentiment with MFT stitched rectangle die.  Although not super postal friendly, I'm really lovin' this for a mini mass production for this Christmas.  The colors make me happy, how about you?

I was inspired by Merry Monday:

I rotated the MFT sketch:

Happy Sunday...the boy goes back to NYC this morning.  The girl and I will undoubtedly be misting up at the airport.  We've had such an awesome couple weeks together.  I won't see him again until probably early May....that's a long time.  Thank goodness for facetiming.

Hero Arts: you are my happy

Valentine's Day is just around the corner!  Here's a fun 'lil card that I wanted to share with you:

I stamped the background by using a sentiment from the new You are my Happy set that is in the 2016 Valentine's Collection.  I used the Floral Heart stamp & cut and stamped another sentiment from the You are my Happy set.  Do you see the smidge of green, I wanted to add a bit of zing to the background with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink.
