January My Monthly Hero Countdown!

Hello!  I'm up on the Hero Arts blog this morning with a sneak peek of the January My Monthly Hero kit that is being released on Monday, January 9th at 10 am pacific.  Remember to check out all of the Countdown to Creativity posts and comment for a chance to win!

Before you go, I did have another card that I made as a different take on my card over on the Hero Arts blog today.

This card uses stamps from the Main Kit.  I upcycled a scrap of packing paper for the bouquet wrap and colored in the ribbon with copics.  The beautiful blooms were stamped and watercolored in with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink.  I love it when the color is super splotchy rather than perfectly filled in.  I did a light wash of Peacock Feathers behind it.

Loving the new Nesting Postage Stamps Infinity Dies that are being release tomorrow, that is what I used for the border.

My card was inspired by the latest CAS(E) this Sketch:

Pop on over to the Hero Arts blog for another card that I designed using the January My Monthly Hero main stamp set plus an addition optional add-on set!

Seriously adorable Amy. (I have just come from HA and LOVE that card too! I had to come over to see this!) Love the heart bouquet and the sentiment you used with this. Just sweet!

Just back from HA and came rushing back to say: I agree: purple roses are gorgeous and yours are precisely that! A wonderful love card in every way! The kit’s love theme has captured my heart, especially since I’ll be making a whole LOT of Valentine’s for my niece and nephew’s classmates! Love the 'splotchy' pink bouquet here, too. I think that's going to be my 'water-colour' style...splotchy! I like it!

Oh Amy!! You rocked this card too. I LOVED the purple roses on the Hero blog but I like how you did the wash around the pink roses in the peacock ink. It makes them POP!! Another wonderful card!!
