Happy Birthday Kate: You Deserve to be Celebrated!

I consider myself super fortunate to be part of an awesome crafty group.  We try to get together monthly and we love to celebrate birthdays!  Today we are celebrating Kate!  This girl ROCKS the paper goodness, have you seen her work?!  It is consistently BEAUTIFUL.

You should have arrived here from the happy hostess, Katie!

When I thought about what I wanted to design for Kate, I knew that it should be all about Basic Grey Persimmon.  We both love that collection...so I took my stash out and got to work.

Sigh, I do so love the Persimmon Collection and it always makes me sad to know that Basic Grey has closed their doors.  The sentiment is from the MFT set, Twice the Wishes.   It fits perfectly on that die cut, didn't it?

My card was thoroughly inspired by an earlier card designed by Kate:

Kate!  I hope you have an amazing day!!!!!  Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday!!!!

Next up is the oh-so-awesome, Kimberly!

In case you get lost along the way, here's the hop listing:

LOVE this card so much... and yes, that collection is one of my very favorites, although some papers I really don't know where to use them, and others I wish I had 10 sheets each, like the ones you used here :).
I can't believe it's Kate's birthday... that's why I get older, I'll have to chat with the birthday girl :D.
