Reverse Confetti April Blog Hop!

It's the 8th of April which means the Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!  Today's theme is:  Moms and Dads.

You should have arrived here from Heather Hoffman's awesome blog!  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the fun which is the Reverse Confetti blog!

I went with a Mom theme.  Last month my Momma took me on a spectacular trip to Japan.  We had a fabulous time, lots of great memories.  I decided to capture one of the photos of the two of us in Fukuoka, Japan:

I'll be the first to tell you that I'm not a scrapbooker.  It made it much easier for me to work with a 5x7 palette.  This photo was taken on our final evening.  We went to dinner at a local restaurant with the tour group, which included my oldest brother and his wife.

I managed to combine several floral sets:

To make things easier for me, I kept with green + pink with pops of black.  My watercolors are from M's, super cheap but I spotted them in my messy workspace and decided to break them out for today's project.  I used the Lotsa Dots Stencil with Mint ink.

I used the thank you sentiment with the Banner in Bloom.   I finished off things with splatters of black watercolor.

Now hop over to Kathy Schweinfurth's blog!  I'm sure she has a magnificent project to share!   In case you get lost along the way, here's the complete hop listing.
