bananas...

Welcome to Get Sketchy #18!

The Bonus Challenge is to make a matching envy!

Our sponsor this week is:

Scor-it!!!!

Woot Woot!

The prize:

Scor-it Mini

Mini Tote Bag

A-2 Envelope-it

Yup, that's what I said...WOW!

Here is my take on the sketch. It is an almost exclusive American Crafts card. I bought a pack of the Craft Fair papers at M's for 40% off....all the patterned paper is from that set. The American Crafts ribbon is velvet grograin and yes, thickers...they are from AC too. Actually I think that I picked up the ribbon and thickers from Jennifer Pebbles' garage sale:)

This was made especially for my mand!! Not necessarily a masculine card but pa-hooey...

Thank goodness for my 'lil Janome...she's been working overtime these days....more on that later.

I hope that you'll join in on the Get Sketchy fun!!!

I am sooo fortunate to be surrounded by such kind bloggie friends...lookie what Sherry sent me:

I know...that card is delish...callin' my name with the colors and the flower! The pens are a sweet gesture...I sent her a card and used a $ gel pen of some sort...it kept stopping and going on me...skipping, I guess that is the word I'm searching for. She sent me the uber fabulous Signo pens...not 1 but 3!!!! Check out that 6x6 Template...wooooo hooooo...it totally justifies me finally buying some spray ink....I've been wanting to play with that stuff....Thanks bunches Sherry!!! I love everything!!!

Well, back to my Janome...remember these felt tissue holders that I've been making? The last couple days I've been working overtime to make a ton of them for my Holiday Trunk Sale. Remember, I was the one that bought a total of 4 yards of felt...I have enough to supply an army:)

Well, look at some of the embellies I'll be using on them:

Felt flowers...some of them are even stitched...OMGoodness...they are darling! Yes, I could probably use my sizzix die but I absolutely adore the stitched ones...yes, I could stitch my own but time ladies...who has the time??? The solid flowers are uber thick and oh-so-fabbie!

I'll be sure to take a pic of some of the embellished finished tissue holders...I tell you, this post has taken me forever to type up...I keep deleting pictures...having to re-upload them...having to re-format...grrrrr....one of those 'problem posts'. Just had to throw that out there because I know my fellow bloggers can sympathize.

I think the man will love the card! :)

Hooray for happy mail! I've been lucky to get some this week! Blogging friends are the best!

Those flowers would definitely look good on the tissue holders...I'm not opposed to some "already done" stuff in my handmade projects.;0
