tall & skinny

Happy Friday Eve!

Thursday's are really my Friday's :)

Here's a tall & skinny card for you:

The cardbase is retired Stampin' Up Wasabi Green.

I managed to still fit in some Basic Grey Persimmon!

I was inspired by little tangles current challenge

I decided to go with the classic chevron.  Now that I look at it, wouldn't it look spiffy if I colored every other space in solid black?  Hmmmm...gotta remember that for next time!

I used

and

I played along with the

I managed to fail miserably.

What the heck?

I had the papers laid out...my stamps laid out...the ink laid out.

What I didn't account for is:

I originally stamped the tag on white cardstock...insta-clash with the polka panel so I had to restamp it on ivory and re-fussy cut it out.

My foam squares...where are my &^%$ foam squares?
(I had to search for my adhesive)

Where is my Crop-a-dile?
(I put the wood veneer heart on the tag instead)

TALL card?  What was I thinking?  It needs more stamping!

Yes, things were literally flying and sadly I was super bummed and quite frankly my heart was racing after I finished my card BUT I like the end result:)

Just a reminder about the happy mail for grayson.

I'm giving away some neat & tangled sequins from my stash to a lucky winner that links up HERE.

I swear I'm not giggling because you had a terrible time timing yourself...but because I totally recognize myself when I play along. Dropsies, can't find it's, honestly. The universe conspires!
LOVE that big flower, and the mix of patterns :)

Amy, this is soooo adorable!!!
And it looks like a lot of work with the stamping and all the papers :)
I would have been really surprised if you were able to do this in less than 10 minutes.. but I think under 15 minutes is record-breaking time, too!

Your post made me laugh. I would probably take a lot longer than you as I am such a slow crafter.
Love your tall skinny card and that wonderful tag.
My card for Grayson was mailed about 10 days ago.

Fabulous post: great to know the pros have days like this, too...although ALL my crafting days involve such episodes! You'd think with my teensy weensy kitchen counter top space things would be easy to find. NOT! Your card is fantastic - no matter how long it took (I'd be at least 10 times longer, with results nowhere near as pretty!). Thanks for sharing, inspiring and brightening my day!!

Oh, and don't worry, I am always looking for foam (and everything else!) on my desk...and always find it...right in front of my face!!! Good grief!!!
