thank you

I've been receiving some really awesome comments lately...I really appreciate all the people that stop by my blog, seriously.

I've been working hard to  s  t  r  e  t  c  h  myself.

Introducing today's card:

For all you challenge junkie's, I'm sure you know the challenge that inspired my card:

What's not to about Donna's card?

I wish I had that particular stamp that Donna used but I scoured my stamps for something that might work and I ended up with the polkas by Fresh Squeezed Stamps.  Do I get bonus points since that stamp is NOT a background stamps and I had to stamp that panel several times?

My stamped panel is watercolor paper.  I've been really enjoying using that stuff and bought another pad, 50% off, at Michael's last week so you'll be seeing the stuff, a lot.  I colored it using, yes, my Distress Stains.  Originally, I used my Distress Markers but I wasn't lovin' the combo and the lack of movement in the colors so I switched over to the Distress Stains....love those things.

The thank you die cut is ala PTI.

Such a fun challenge!

I've noticed a change in my crafting lately...I've been really S  L  O  W.  It's something I'm trying to embrace, rather than be frustrated by it.

What a wonderful card! I am also trying new techniques and have really enjoyed going outside the box of my usual "comfortable" card design.

Oh I have a hard time when I become slow...I love to move fast which isn't always my best trait! Your card is amazing...the gold polka dots are awesome!

Wow, Amy, this is stunning! I love the gradient effect and I think you captured the challenge perfectly! Love those Distress stains! You have inspired me to give mine a try when I have time tonight after work.

I think with winter and the abnormal cold here, my crafting mojo has gone into hibernation as I wasn't motivated to make anything until last night. Hope to blog it tonight as I finished far too late last night to upload it and get myself to sleep at a decent hour for work.

Whoa! That's not a background stamp?!! Talk about precision! Love the blue tone you mixed in there as well. Fab card! And don't worry about the slow - I'm happy if I've got one done in under two hours!! You're in good (? -!!) company!! ;)

Not a background stamp? Well, that just amps up the impressiveness of your card even more, and it was already at sky-rocket levels at first glance. Love the colours, especially the whispers of blue. Fabulous x awesome take on Donna's card. Calling winner, winner on this!!

Beautiful and perfectly executed. I love how you are embracing the slower pace...I need to do the same....I think speed is a big hinderance for me in trying new techniques.
