Okay, let's get to it, eh?! My first card is a fall inspired one. Fall has to be my FAVORITE season. I love dry, crisp & sunny days.
hero arts supplies: cardstock: earth mix layering papers stamps: branches bold prints, color layering fall trees, kelly's holiday planner icons ink: pumpkin pie, cup o' joe, just rust, butter bar, forever green, india ink black, unicorn white
I started with Hero Arts Earth Mix Layering papers. Love how the Branches Bold Prints pop with Unicorn White Pigment ink! I used the Color Layering Fall Trees on vellum, it makes it flow with the background.
These are the inks I used:
The sentiment was stamped in India Ink Black.....the sweet pumpkin is from Kelly's Holiday Planner Icons! I have bits of birch paper in my stash, the India Ink just sits on top of it rather than 'bleeding'. I like how it captures the 'fall' feeling on center panel.
Next up is a holiday card:
hero arts products: cardstock: blush mix & snow layering stamps: candy stripe bold prints, peace & joy ink: holiday reds/winter greens by lia, hero hues metallic, india ink black other: ribbon cutting set by lia
I love designing tall skinny cards! This one measures 3.5 inches x 5.5 inches. The base is from the Blush Mix. Yes, I love the Unicorn White Pigment ink! This time I used it with the Candy Stripe Bold Prints. My center panel is a Snow Layering Panel trimmed down to 3 x 4. I used a corner rounder on both the base panel and the white panel. The Peace & Joy set is one of my favorites. It is filled with pretty sentiments and other graphic details. I stamped the sentiment in Black India Ink...I followed it up with the various circles in:
Isn't that bow a fun way to finish off a card? It is the Ribbon Cutting Set by Lia. Can you tell what I used? (smiling) Yes, I upcycled a Starbucks Coffee Sleeve! I decided to use the corrugated side for the bow and for the ribbon part, I used the 'flat' side so that you can see a smidge of the text. For added interest I used a mini wooden clip.
Well, that's it for me! Next on the hop is the Fabulous Kristina Werner! In case you get lost along the way, here's the full list:
