Hero Arts 2017 Spring Catalog Blog Hop!

Hello!!  The Hero Arts Spring Catalog products are now in the Hero Arts online store!  We are celebrating with a hop!  You should have arrived here from the wonderful Wanda Guess' blog.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning which is the Hero Arts blog!

Hero Arts will be giving away three $25 shopping sprees, drawn from comments left across all blogs in the hop. Please comment by Tuesday, February 21st at 11:59pm PT and Hero Arts will announce the winners the following week.

I was so excited to design some projects for today's hop, my theme is Parisian!

I'm featuring  CM145 Ooh La La:

First up is my Bonjour card:

I combined the Ooh La La stamps + coordinating Frame Cuts with the Nesting Circle Dies.  I kept everything clean + simple but simply had to make those sunglasses have green frames💚

Next up is my Oui, Oui mon cheri card:

I stamped the French Treats out on a watercolor panel with Chalkboard Dye Ink.  I colored the images with Zig Clean Color Markers.  Do you see a bit of the Blush Mixed Layering Panel and gold glitter cardstock?

Speaking of French Treats, I took a macaron class a couple weeks ago and this last weekend my girl and I whipped up a batch:

We learned a lot and have some ideas...so be on the look out.  For our first batch, we love the added sprinkles!  They are Hazelnut with Coffee Buttercream.

That's it for me...up next is my fab teamie, Clare Prezzia!

In case you get lost along the way, here's the full hop listing:

As soon as I saw your cards it made me think of my daughter because she is studying French for the first time as a senior. Maybe I should cook up a batch of the macaroons to inspire her along!

Love your Parisian-themed cards. How cool to do one all in black and white--very chic, and I loved that striped shirt! Your tiny desserts were beautiful, and their color was in great contrast to the black and white accompanying card, so the colors really popped off the black and white--very effective!

Best wishes,

Joanne Lowe

What adorable cards you made. I do a mean French accent so I read your post in my French accent. It made me feel more French then usual. LOL I never took French in a high school class or anywhere else but I can kind of pronounce the words right I think. When I went to Quebec, I knew how to say a few words and one was hello. I'm assuming I pronounced it correctly because the min. I said that, they spoke to me in French! For some strange reason, I was able to understand what they were saying! I don't know how that is possible since I can't hardly speak the language but I did. These stamp's and your card remind me of my trip to Quebec and bring back nice memories.
Your macaroons? They look really yummy. Am I the only one who thinks they look like acorns? I don't know if that was on purpose or not but when I first saw them that is what I thought. You go girl!
