One Step at a Time | My Favorite Things

So when My Favorite Things opened up their vault and had the LLD All Star High Top Die-namics back in their shop along with the coordinating stamp set, I had to snap them up.   Looks like they sold out!  You're either going to look at my card and nod your head or wonder what the heck?

A bit of backstory, my boy who is currently working for Dior has what I think a pretty good resume so far.  He says I have to say that since I'm his Momma LOL.  One of his summer internships was with Comme des Garçons, a Japanese Fashion Label.  Even before he worked for them he was and is still a big fan.  I need to save my $ and buy THIS.  So for Christmas last year the kids bought me THESE.  My boy bought THESE for his sister which was my inspiration for today's project:

Isn't the stripe paper perfect?!

Let's talk about those shoelace eyelets.  Oy.  I whipped these up before I needed to get ready for today's crafty day and didn't have the patience to use my liquid adhesive so I used 1/8 inch glue dots.  They work perfectly but you can't lace the sneakers...LOL

I was inspired by this week's sketch, I rotated it!

Happy Weekend!!!!!!

Oh I LOVE the story behind those shoes! You've replicated them perfectly (I did think "?") and don't get me started on those eyelets.....

Onto Pinterest this goes!! I am so glad that I bought this die set before it sold out!! LOVE your take on those awesome sneakers. The story behind this card is THE BEST!! How cool that your son got to intern at these fun places!! Not sure what I will do for the eyelets. I do have all the metal ones I had from scrapbooking years ago. Might have to dig them out if I can find them!
