Here's how it inspired me:

I used one of my FAVORITE

CAS-ual Fridays sets

It seriously cracks me up every single time I ink it up.  What's even more funny?  I don't swear...seriously.  Okay, perhaps when I drive and play video games...LOL.

That polka panel?

vintage Amy Butler.

I wish she would design for the paper crafting industry again!  Her sense of color and pattern is truly amazing.

I simply stamped the sentiment on a journaling card die cut and attached the Jolee's felt bloom...it's almost a peace offering for forgetting someone's birthday!

I can't wait to see how you're inspired!

Make sure you check out my teamies:

happy birthday.

Happy Friday!

So I've been inspired by a lot of trends out there, can you spot them on today's card?

The first is the white on vellum heat embossing...One of my favorite feathers, from Reverse Confetti, Peacock Pretties.  I made this pretty early in the morning yesterday and had to time the heat gun with the home heating system since everybody was still snoozing :)

The other trend is the corner curl/fold...I'm not sure who started this trend (perhaps Laurie?) but most recently I spotted Stephanie's card and was inspired.

The main panel is Pink Paislee/House of Three..LOVE it.  I'm not typically a navy blue kind of gal but love that design.  I'm actually contemplating buying a lot of them...25 12x12 sheets...haha, that should satisfy that 'need' for a smidge.

Here's the funny thing, I don't typically mix different manufacturer paper collections but this one has 3 (Pink Paislee/Basic Grey & Amy Butler).

The Reverse Confetti sentiment has been stamped on the scrap gray cardstock in Fresh Ink Navy.  The twine is Timeless Twine Graphite Gray..something that has been sadly neglected!

I was inspired by Lisa's

and

I have a ton of crafting I get to do this weekend AND I'm Christmas decorating!

How about you?

I've been a long time fan of Mona's and was so thrilled to be able to play her stamps and dies!

I decided to go with a purple and gray combo:

I'm not a purple girl but love it teamed up with gray.  Aren't those Contemporary Roses gorgeous?

soul sisters...

Happy Thursday!

It has been soo dark, dreary and rainy here...I needed to work with some fresh & fun colors:

I seriously dug up some Amy Butler goodness....doesn't it scream spring to you?

I was inspired the {Freshly Made} Sketches #16:

I've been trying to encourage my clean & simple side:)

What's your style?

...well done...

Hey There!

Hope that you're having a great weekend...I'm poppin' in here to share a quilt-y card:)

Each of the Amy Butler papers are cut into 2 inch squares...this puppy is 6x6...humungous!  I wanted the squares to be large enough that you could really appreciate the colors and patterns.

The center label is via The Craft's Meow Timeless Tags set:

The sentiment is SRM.  Did you notice the stitching...like TONS of stitching..

I'm a ginormous fan of quilts...if I had the time to pick up another hobby...quilting would be it...but sadly I don't have the time:(  I was curious about the Tuesday Trigger so I popped over to the Etsy shop...check it out.

I was inspired by the Amy Butler'ish fabric and the stitching..Do you see the bling?  It matches the greenish/yellowish color...

Are you surprised?  I'm entering this into the Gallery Idol 2011 contest...

Tomorrow starts The Craft's Meow July Previews...you won't want to miss out!

Thanks ribbon...

TGIF Friends...TGIF!

Whew, whatta week...looking forward to the weekend although my goal is to get a ton of purging and organizing done....

Here's a card that I had lotsa fun making...

I used Scor Tape {love that stuff} along the edges of the 'ribbon'...and glitzed it up with Martha glitter.  I'm still so lovin' my Tim Holtz/Sizzix Rosette die...I topped it off with an old MM feltie bloom and a JANE button that has 2 Queen and Co pearls....All the patterned paper is Amy Butler....

I was inspired by Tiff's Sketch:

I seriously could NOT wait to use her sketch...pretty fabbie....

My color combo is compliments of CR84FN:

When I saw those colors together I instantly thought of Amy Butler:)

Do you see the sentiment I used?

It is the fabulous result of co-branding with E.A.D Designs...

Earlier this week I used a Stickerz on my Acorn Tag project, today's sentiment is from the Rub-Ons set...you gals are going to love them...vinyl and opaque...see how it POPS even on that super busy {& fun} Amy Butler pattern?

Although you can't really tell from the pic...all my thread is PINK.....how could I resist?

Thanks for all the bloggie love over on the Skipping Stones Designs site, I had fun putting together the tut:)

Just a reminder that Flashback Friday 8.0 ends tonight at 11:59 pm PST!  If you haven't had a chance to play, this is your chance!!!  Link up HERE...we want to see your 1st 3D projects!  There is a lovely prize package from our fabbie Sponsor waiting for you:

How Delightful...

Woot Woot for Wednesday...half way through the work week...countin' down to the weekend!

I worked on a couple fun challenges...first up is this 'delightful' card:

The image is by Memory Box, shamefully I've had it for over a year and hadn't inked it up yet...it was perfect for the Embellish Color and Paper Piecing Challenge:

I used PTI Kraft, Stampin' Up So Saffron and Amy Butler papers. The How Delightful is from the Lawn Fawn. The seam binding tape was out of my scrap pile:)

Next up is a layout...I haven't scrapped in awhile...

Sorry for the icky pic...blues always throw off my pics...

The orange papers are from Echo Park Papers Halloween line...the blue paper is Pink Paislee..every paper panel has been stitched and hmmm....perhaps the glitter frame {maya road nakey chippie that I covered with Martha glitter} might be viewed as girlie but you know what? I don't care:) It adds some nice zing to the layout...the flair is actually MM...it's a brad...

I was thoroughly inspired by Teacher Jessy's
current friendly challenge, this is the inspiration photo...I LOVE it:

I used sketch 205 over at Pencil Lines:

So have you had a chance to view all the fabbie cards for the Skipping Stones Designs 1st Annual Blogs 4 Boobies Blog Bounce {hop}...every card that is a part of the Bounce is up for a Silent Auction...all funds raised will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Here's my card:

The current high bid is (edited!!!) $20 by the oh-so-fabbie Julie Tucker-Wolek...woot woot sista!!!

I know that you all aren't opposed to some...added bonus if you are the highest bidder of my card....I'm adding this to the card:

Not only that...I'll MATCH the winning bid....come on ladies...do it for someone you love...do it for someone that is currently fighting breast cancer...do if for a survivor of breast cancer.....I'm doing it in Memory of my Aunt.

If you're interested in making a bid....pop over to my original blog post HERE...please don't leave a bid on this post...you'll need to go to my original post HERE.

Another way you can help in the fundraising efforts is to spread the word....the Bounce silent auction runs until Thursday @ 8 pm Mountain time....the $2 per stamp set donation will run through Thursday until midnight.

Just a reminder to pop over to the E.A.D Designs blog to see Jenn's

congrats along with me & u.

Happy Saturday!!!!

I have a couple cards to share with you today...first up is my take on Heather's bonus sketch over on 2s4y. Darin asked if I would make a graduation card for his niece. I think that the Practicing Creativity, Look Up set, is perfect for that occasion.

My Amy Butler papers have been horribly neglected so I decided to paper piece the hot air balloon/banner with it. The cloud paper is Bella Blvd.

Here's Heather's sketch:

I decided to give Laura's sketch another go..especially since I've been wanting to play with some new prima's that I recently picked up...

Actually, my card is based on that Prima chippie...I ended up using 3 different Prima papers...

I love how you can see text print throughout the papers...the shabby chic collection is wow...LOVE their stuff...

Any super fun plans? It's just me and the girl this weekend...the boy went camping so it's quite calm & quiet in the household:) We took my mom out for vietnamese last night...the girl drove us over to my Mom's...it's really not that far but she was driving with other cars on the road...I didn't realize how nervous/tense I was until we switched seats when we got to my Mom's...I was instantly exhausted...you should have seen the look of pure shock on my Momma's face when she saw us switching seats...LOL...she hasn't seen the girl drive yet.

Okay, come on back tomorrow for my 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday card...we have a super sponsor too!

Cheep Tweet!

Hello and welcome to the 365 Cards Thursday Challenge!

Ready for it?!

Rhyme Time

Your sentiment must rhyme

Okay, I used my Schlosser Designs, Have a Tweet Day, stamp set:

I stamped the 2 part bird onto cardstock to make a template which I then traced onto Amy Butler paper. I was super proud of myself that I made the sentiment rhyme...now what? I had no idea how to incorporate cheep tweet into the overall design of my card...LOL. I should have just hand wrote 'sweet' in front of tweet but don't like my handwriting enough to do that...

So I decided to fuss with the interior of my card...get it, cheep tweet..the coffee/tea is on me...that makes it cheep...or cheap:) LOL...I decided to enter this into the MFW Start to Finish Challenge!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!

P.S. Thank you for all your kind words about my sweetie pie boy:)

noel...

This Clean & Simple #72 just screams Amy Butler:)

Here you go:

The Noel is actually felt...oh how I love felt...

A totally clean & simple card...the best in my opinion because it translates to regular postage..LOL. You might not be able to tell but the thread that I used for the stitching is PINK! I love the contrast on the gorgeous Amy Butler patterned paper AND that was what was in/on the Janome:) {bonus ninja points!!}

Remember to stop by tomorrow...it is my day over on the 365 Cards blog.

eat drink and be merry...

Happy Labor Day!!!

Well, I "had" to play along in one of the Moxie Fab World Christmas Challenges! I decided on the Fun & Cute category. I was inspired by this post on Pink Chalk Studio.

I love "non-traditional" holidays colors...pink and green is one of my favorites. All the patterned paper is ala Amy Butler. My card base is Speckletone kraft and of course the alpha is Making Memories. I was going to add some bling or pearls but decided against it. There is a ton of stitching on this one...I really need to "talk nice to my janome"...she was wigging out on me...sigh...but it seems that I was able to fix her. I'm seriously NOT mechanically oriented so it frustrates me when stuff goes wiggy.

Thought I'd share a couple pics of the kids from Oahu. This is my boy out paddle boarding...oh man did he LOVE that. It makes a momma feel good when their baby says: "This is the best day of my life!".
My daughter really doesn't like getting her picture taken, at all...so this is pretty rare...and she's even smiling..gotta love the teenage years :) This was taken at Paradise Cove Luau.

Have a super week!

spread your wings and fly....

Those of you that follow my blog know that I ♥♥♥ Amy Butler. Her stuff rocks...well, I finally de-hoarded and used a couple of her die cut butterflies {Elaine, I'm using them!!}...I guess I took the CPS119 sketch literally. Her line really goes well with the Stampin' Up Basic Gray {love that color!}...I cracked open my PTI Fresh Snow cube {that's all they had when I ordered} and inked up the edges of Basic gray panel. That particular panel along with the corduroy buttons are all on glue dot pop dots.

Have you checked out the 2 Sketches 4 You Top 30 Gallery yet? Oy vey...no pressure...I have a couple ideas swirling around in my crafty mind but won't complete anything until as late as Thursday night...I'm just thrilled to be in the crafty circle of the 29 gals...thanks to Laura and Kazan and all the judges and sponsors...this is a wonderful opportunity and I'mtruly thankful for it.
