Merci | Woodblock Wednesday + Guest Designer

Hello and welcome to the sixth edition of Woodblock Wednesday.  I'm featuring:

Savvy Stamps - Floral Jar [1404h]
A Muse Stamps - Merci [retired]

Here's how I was inspired:

I ended up doing a bit of mass production.  Honestly I consider more than 1 card of a design mass production.

Let's talk about this design first.  It features the Basic Grey - Adrift collection.  Oh how I miss Basic Grey.  I used a very simple design, easy to produce quickly.

The poppy looking blooms were colored with

Sugared Almond Pink
Pink Flamingo
Zig Blender

The petal filled blooms were colored with

Pale Pink
Pink Flamingo

This next duo features panels from the Basic Grey Persimmon collection, one of my favorites.

The image has been stamped on Bristol with Versafine Onyx Black.  The 'water' is:

Pale Blue

Each of the bouquets have one enamel dot.  The overall design is pretty clean + crisp so that bit of texture gives it a touch of interest.

I'm so thrilled to have Tonya Jastad playing along with me.  She's sharing two different designs, here's a peek at one of them:

She used the same main image.  For all the details on her project, please visit her BLOG IG.

Thank you so much Tonya for joining me today!  Her coloring and the addition of the sweet plaid panel is perfect!

The Heart Desires Challenge #7: Merry Howlidays

post 2 of 2 for today...click HERE for Reverse Confetti's Countdown to Confetti Day Three

Hello, today is the start of the new The Heart Desires challenge #7!  Check out this gorgeous inspiration:

I'm a huge fan of color so I had fun putting together this card.  It combines a couple different companies.

Let's start off with that sweet Happy Howl-idays dog from Avery Elle.  Isn't he the cutest?  He's sitting on the Hero Arts Winter Cheer tag by Lia.  I used the Farm Fresh Gingham paper by MFT.

The green watercolor wash for the background was created with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.

I can't wait to see how my teamies were inspired!  I hope that you'll play along too!

focus on the sun

I love how my friends throw out a challenge to play along in.   I'm always up for a great challenge!

I've had some Paper Smooches goodies that needed some love...Check out those Rain boots!  I paper pieced them with American Crafts Hip Hip Hooray.  They are nestled on the Paper Smooches Scallop Frame that I made into a tag.  The sentiment is from the Paper Smooches Spreading Sunshine stamp set.  Don't be shocked, I didn't use my Zig Clean Color Markers this time...I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi!

The challenge?  Tag you're it!

So, I don't have an umbrella die (on my Wish List) so I used the Rain Boots!  I pulled the green, yellow and blue colors out to use on my card.

Make sure you check out Kimberly's awesome card HERE.

procaffeination.

I can't begin to tell you how much I enjoy the Coffee Loving Community.  The Coffee Lovers Blog Hops have been such a fun project....lots of work but connecting with so many awesome people.

I met Melissa of A Creative Journey with Melissa through the Coffee Lovers Blog Hops!  Check out her newest set that she sent to me:

I love the Procaffeinate definition and had an idea that came together using the MFT Die-namics LLD Hot Cocoa  Cups.

I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors this time...giving my poor Zigs a vacation♡

I have a busy couple of weeks in store for you all!

Tags, I love tags, how about you?

cardstock:  ranger watercolor  paper:  recollections craft it flora  stamps:  essentials by ellen/bohemian garden, paper smooches chit chat  ink:  ranger archival/black  other:  paper smooches gift tags 2, solid black divine twine, recollections clothes pin

This tag uses Recollections Craft It Flora (thank you Wanda!).  The top layer is Ranger Watercolor paper.  Gotta love the Paper Smooches Gift Tags 2...the larger tag is a great size, for the top layer I just trimmed off a smidge off of all of the sides to make it fit into the base layer.  The flower is Essentials by Ellen Bohemian Garden by Julie Ebersole.  The sentiment, Chit Chat ala Paper Smooches.

I was inspired by Erin's tag over at Tag You're it!

I'm also playing the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge:

This month we're to mix it up with Paper Smooches!

I'm also linking up the the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge:

It's anything goes for Paper Smooches!

I had loads of fun using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi....love those watercolors!

Whisker Graphics: Extra-Ordinary

Today is my Whisker Graphics Day!  Have you checked out the shop lately?  It's chock full of new goodies!

I'm featuring a Brown Kraft bag with a twist:

cardstock:  ranger watercolor paper  stamps:  create a smile/botanical love  ink:  ranger archival black, kuretake gansai tambi  other:  create a smile/stacked pierced banners/cool cuts, studio calico veneer, apple barrel/key west/acrylic paint

The twist?!  I took acrylic paint and literally painted wide stripes of color!  I love the free form look and matte look!  I hit the wet paint with my heat gun for a smidge and layered the bloom and banner.

These bags are a must have in your stash.  I decorated this particular one and dropped in some fun crafty goodies for a visiting blogging friend...BAM, fabulously fun & ready to give!

I'd love for you to pop over to the Whisker Graphics Blog to say hello!
