Coffee Loving Cardmakers + CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Collaboration Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Collaboration Hop for CAS-ual Fridays and Coffee Loving Cardmakers!  You should have arrived here from the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the CAS-ual Fridays blog.

I have two projects to share with you today so let's get started:

Let's start with my clean + crisp card!  I colored some modeling paste with a dark brown reinker and used a coffee bean stencil that I had in my stash.  I set it aside to dry while I worked on the other elements of my design.

I adore the Coffee Cup Fri-Dies!  Isn't it fun and perfect size to be able to fit a fun sentiment.    The beans sentiment is from the Hot Coffee stamp set.

My next card features the same Coffee Cup Fri-Dies.

I used my Rose Gold embossing powder for the sentiment from the Coffee Talk sentiment set.  I managed to also heat emboss a bit of a splash image from a set in my stash.  I made my own pattern paper by using strips of card stock. Do you see the bit of Rose Gold glitter cardstock?

My card was inspired by CFC210:

and the CAS18 Challenge:

Next up on the hop is Erin!  If you get lost along the way, here's the complete hop listing!

Remember to leave comments along the way to win one of three $25 Gift Certificates to CAS-ual Friday Stamps!  Commenting to close on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 11:55 pm pacific.  Winners to be posted on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps + Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog on Saturday, October 27th.

A Tribute for Melissa Lane

The wonderful STAMPlorations is hostessing an event in tribute to Melissa Lane:

Last October 2, Melissa Lane passed away. She was a talented cardmaker/crafter/artist, a mother of 4, wife, and servant of Jesus. Melissa loved to garden and she loved photography. Her favorite color was red, and she loved butterflies -- so much so that many of the cards and other projects she made had butterflies in them.

My heart goes out to Melissa's family.  I made this card especially for the event:

Melissa was our January 2017 Guest Designing over at Coffee Loving Cardmaker's.  I was inspired by her use of blue.  I started off with the STAMPlorations Bubbles Stencil in Wild Honey Distress Oxide.  The coffee cup is by STAMPlorations - And Coffee by The Bee's Knees.  It's been watercolored with Peerless watercolors.

The heat embossed butterfly is from Reverse Confetti's Butterfly Dreams.  The sentiment is from SugarPea Designs Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the butterfly creations that link up.  What a wonderful way to tribute Melissa.

The Card Concept 100 | Guest Designer

I'm so very excited to be joining The Card Concept for their 100th challenge!  A big thank you to my friend Tangii Crain for the invite!  Isn't the photo inspiration beautiful?  Here's how I was inspired:

I tend to be a literal interpretation kind of gal.  That pink pumpkin changed looks at least three times before I was happy with the look.

Let's start at the bottom and work our way up!  On my white card base I layered a Reverse Confetti Stone cardstock panel.  It has been cut with the Waffle Flower Crafts - Flower Circles Craft Die.  The smide of pattern paper is vintage Basic Grey.

The pumpkins are from Reverse Confetti's Pumpkin Patch confetti cuts.  The sentiment + decorative greenery is from their Fall Foliage stamp set.  The stem is birch paper. I heat embossed about 1/3 of the Stone pumpkin in gold

The sentiment at the bottom of the card is from the Pretty Pink Posh Giving Thanks stamp set.  A bit of a mashup of companies.

I can't wait to see how Tangii was inspired along with the other team members and their guests!  I hope that you'll play along, I can't wait to see how you're inspired!

Reverse Confetti October Stock Your Stash | Thank you

Have you seen the new monthly Reverse Confetti challenge, Stock Your Stash?!

The new challenge is the STOCK YOUR STASH Challenge!  This is a chance to create a card to keep in your stash.  (Of course, you could send it off right away!).  Each month will bring a new theme.

There will be a new Stock Your Stash challenge posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 1st of each month.

The link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 29th of the month.

Reverse Confetti stamps and/or Confetti Cuts are required to win.  This is a way we get to thank our customers for using our stamps.  Anyone is welcome to play, though!

You may enter as many times as you wish.

Use #SYSChallenge when playing along with this challenge.
There will be a random winner selected each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store. The winner of challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog at the end of the month.

Here's how I was inspired for this month's challenge:

I started off with the Scallop Stripe Panel confetti cuts and a highly hoarded piece of birch paper.  I love the extra 'texture' there is with how the scallops want to pop out but I wanted them to stay intact.

I inked up the gorgeous Cotton & Thistles set.  Colored it up with alcohol markers.  Found the perfect fimo button in my stash and secured it with twine.  The sentiment is from the Mod Floral Stack stamp set.

Definitely not a postal friendly design but that's okay...I'll happily hand deliver it to someone.

Looking forward to how my teamies were inspired HERE.

Hello Fall | Stampin' Up + Echo Park Paper

Hello!  I picked up a couple of older Stampin' Up sets from a bloggie friend and decided to ink them up.  I've been wanting to get my hands on the Merry Cafe set and she had it and the coordinating dies for Coffee Cafe.  Here's how I was inspired:

The pattern paper is by Stampin' Up...it's awesome, thick + reversible.    The doily is from M's and the other ephemera is from Echo Park Paper's Celebrate Autumn Collection.

I've been shying away from tilted panels for a bit.  I gave a card to my Mom that had tilted panels and she said she loved it and then continued to whisper to me that I might want to fix it since it was crooked (sigh).  I love my Momma.  This card will definitely go to a crafter that appreciated that element in a card design.

My card was inspired by TGIF Challenges:

I wanted to share my purchase I made at a Seattle Flea Market yesterday...YAY!!!!

Happy Fall | Hello Bluebird

Happy Saturday!  Any fun plans or do you get to craft all day?  I'm headed out to a Seattle Flea Market...hopefully followed by big pieces of cake.  Then later off to dinner + a movie.  Yesterday I designed three different projects.  Here's one of them:

I stamped up a bunch of the Hello Bluebird sets and ran them through my Scan n Cut.

Halloween Party  |   Autumn Gatherings  |  Fall Friends

I ended up pulling the main images from Halloween Party and picked out leaves and pumpkins from the other sets.

Those guys kill me with their cuteness!

The pattern paper is Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid - Fall.  I'm trying not to hoard it since it's been discontinued but the colors are so awesome.

My card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch:

Reverse Confetti | FALL • IDAYS + SALE | Day Two - Thanksgiving

Hello and Welcome to the Reverse Confetti FALL • IDAYS 3 Day Blog Hop & SALE!  Today's theme is Halloween | Fall.  I went with full on Halloween:  You should have hopped here from my super teamie Tricia Barber, if not, you'll want to start at the beginning which is the Reverse Confetti blog.

Today I'm sharing a hoop art project:

This was made especially for my 92 year old friend (former Mother-in-Law).  She recently moved into an Assisted Living Community and I thought this might perk up her apartment.  I'm a big fan of hoops, they're a great way to whip up a project, really just a smaller canvas than a card.

I'm featuring the Fall Foliage stamps and coordinating confetti cuts.  I spotted an extra leaf leftover from a previous project and managed to stamp out 2 more leaves from my color burst watercolor panels.

I mounted everything on a Sand panel that I embossed with a distress plate.  I finished it off with the scallop Edger.  The bottom layer is a smidge of RC Aqua.  To bring out the aqua color even more I found a coordinating custom button made by Jane Beljo.

That's it for me, next on the hop is the awesome Deanne Kuntz.

Happy Fall | Lawn Fawn

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Posting a bit late, I was going to post with on another day but decided to go ahead and post it today:

THIS card by Kim Singdahlsen had me so inspired.  I love how clean her design is, I started adding this and that to my card and it became, not so clean + crisp but full of caffeine!  I used the much hoarded Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall paper.  The Happy Fall Line Border was cut from Neenah Solar 110.

The Mini Picture Frames were cut from Reverse Confetti:

Dark Roast  •  Bumblebee  •  Rust

The Love You A Latte cups were stamped on Neenah Solar 110 in Lawn Fawn Jet Black and colored with various copics.

My card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

You should have arrived here from the fabulous Ilina Crouse's blog!  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning which is The Ton's blog!

I have several projects to share with you so let's get started!  First up is the Holiday Chic Tags Stamp Set:

I designed two tags and mounted them on A2 card bases.

My first one uses the horizontal stripe background.  It's been heat embossed with Rose Gold.  I teamed it up with the Hug in a Mug stamp set and the Coffee Word Die.  I mounted the coffee cup on a circle die for it's saucer.

My next card uses the other stripe background + one of the sentiments:

In keeping with the same base palette, I heat embossed these stripes in the same Rose Gold.

The sentiment has been stamped in black and fussy cut and mounted.  One of my favorite sets is Always Cherry Blossoms.  They've been stamped in black and colored with various copics.

My next project features the new Blizzard Hugs stamp set:

Yup, I ADORE this set.  Check out that ginormous snowflake!  I love how it has an interior detail stamp (in black soot).  The teeny tiny snowflake in the middle is a separate image in the set too.  Tons of Rose Gold embossing on this one too.

My final project is with the Coming Up Poinsettias set:

I know...if you've been following me for any amount of time you'll be shocked about all this purple business today.  I've been really enjoying coloring with a couple of the purple copics...in real life it has a dreamy look to it.

That's it for me!  I can't wait to hop around and check out everyone's projects!  Next up is the talented Tae Eun Yoo!
