Eleven | Blogaversary + Giveaway

I can't believe it has been Eleven years!  Things have come a long way from my first blog post HERE.

I've been super fortunate and grateful over the years.  Things were tough for me as a single Mom back then, but both of my kids have graduated from high school.  My girl has since graduated from the University of Washington and is working for a Seattle biotech company.  My boy just registered for his final semester of college in New York.

Me?  I have been so fortunate to shift from full time to part time work in 2013.  I've gone from a super full DT plate to a much more manageable one.  Here's the thing, I still love to be creative...I feel like I'm still growing and learning as a designer.  I love being part of this awesome papercrafting community and can't imagine my life without it.

I know that the shift has gone from blogs to instagram.  Although the blogging process is a ton of work, I still love it.  Here are some projects, one from each year:

So, let's get to the giveaways, shall we?!  I'd love to treat 10 people to a cup of coffee (translation = $5 Starbucks card★) and the grand prize winner gets a $50 Ellen Hutson LLC Gift card!

In order to be eligible for the prize, please leave me a comment.  There are soooo many noreply commenters, please include your contact information.  With 11 winners, I don't have the bandwidth to track people down.  For an extra chance to win, do you follow my IG account?  Leave me a comment HERE and then come back and leave me another comment on this post if you're an IG Follower or a new follower.

Commenting to stay open until Saturday, November 10th around 5 am pacific.

★I'm loving the new holiday Starbucks Gift Cards and can't wait to pick out 10 of them!  Please note my international friends, I'm not sure if you can use them out of the U.S. but you can always regift/pay them forward.

Reverse Confetti November Countdown to Confetti Day One | Jolly Coffee

It's the start of the Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti!   You are going to be amazed at all of the new products for this month! Please note that new product links will not be active until release day/time.

This month we welcome the following designers  as our 'Fetti Friends:

Today  we're featuring:

Christmas Circles stamps
Drink More Coffee stamps + coordinating confetti cuts

I'm also featuring:

Grid Stitched Tag

Here's a quick peek at both of my projects:

Up first is my Drink More Coffee project.  How happy am I that Reverse Confetti has added another coffee design to their growing collection?!  I combined it with the new Grid Stitched Tag.

Let's start with the tag, it's been cut from Stone cardstock.  I've stamped the images on Premier Polar White cardstock.  See the tab for the tag, it has been cut from Craft Foam, same with the word coffee.

I'm such a fan of mixed fonts and love that we now have the die cut word coffee!!!

Up next is my Christmas Circles project that I teamed up with the previously released Cool Friends.

So the Christmas Circles coordinates with the dies in the previously released Bag & Tags Creator confetti cuts.  I heat embossed it on white using Stone cardstock.  Do you see the Grid Stitched Tag confetti cuts?

I actually used the negative cut on the Stone panel (that's eco crafting - wink).  I used the Lotsa Dots stencil with:

Lagoon  |  RC Aqua  |  Iced Aqua

The snowy embankment the Cool Friends are sitting on is also cut from Craft Foam.

I'm so excited for this release, it's off to a great start, isn't it?!!!!

I can't wait to hop around and see what my teamies designed!  Leave a comment on all the sneak peeks post for each designer.  Comments will close at noon CST on November 7th and there will be a $15 Gift Certificate for one blog commenter and also one FB commenter.  M

Ugly Sweater | Simon Says Stamp

Ugly Christmas Sweaters...you gotta love them, right?!  I picked up the Ugly Sweater stamp set by Simon Says Stamp at one of our multi-crafter Garage Sales along, with the SSS Merry Christmas Craft die, here's how I was inspired:

Let's chat about my card, sorry about the photog, I'm too impatient to wait for more natural sunlight this morning...and I'm leaving the house in a bit.  Isn't that classic Stampin' Up star garland awesome?  I've been squirreling that away for the right project and it fits the theme perfectly.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

Next up is my tag!  I was busy away designing my tag when I realized I didn't have any place to well, make it look like a tag.  Thanks to Erin's post, she remedied the situation.

I could have made things so much easier for myself and used a blue panel rather than blending Broken China Distress Oxide on that rectangular piece...oh well, I made sure I incorporated the same color in the argyle stamping.  The rectangular scallop piece is via a Waltzingmouse die and the tag topper is a portion of a Reverse Confetti Tall Tag Trio.

Specifically, it was Karin's sweet tag.  I CASED her overall design, thanks for the inspiration Karin!

Fa la la | Hello Bluebird

I had so much fun working on this project!  Isn't the Hello Bluebird, Christmas is Coming set so cute?

I managed to fit it all of the main images from that set.

I used the Gallery Frame Die #2, originally I did have the scallop border but decided to just use the outline on this one.

I doubled up the Fa la la from Christmas Words die #1.  So fun to top this off with some glittery goodness.

You know who is doing all the work in this scenery right?  It's that sweet squirrel carrying her coffee 💚

Any plans today?  We're hitting what should be a large Flea Market and then hitting this fundraiser.

My Umbrella | My Favorite Things

So, I'm still trying to do a massive catch up on my purchases, today I'm featuring the My Favorite Things - BB Rain or Shine.  First time inking up that sweet set, perfect for us in the pacific northwest.

I teamed it up with the retired Top Dog set and Farm Fresh Gingham 6x6.

Loving the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges.  I'll never tire of scallops and stitches, how about you?  Do you see the faint clouds?  Loving the Cloud stencil, using the PFS Life Changing Blender Brushes makes it a snap (seriously).

I was inspired by the latest MFT Sketch Challenge:
