citrus got real | Essentials by Ellen

If you follow me on IG, you may have seen my latest additions from Ellen Hutson - Essentials by Ellen.  I always LOVE Julie Ebersole's releases, this one is no exception with citrus, coffee + hair buns.

Today I'm featuring the Squeeze The Day set.  I was first introduced to Pink Lemons via Blue Apron (Big Fan of their WW meals).  Julie is so clever with her sentiments...

I stamped the images with Versafine  Onyx Black on Watercolor paper.  I dug out my Zigs!  I haven't used those in awhile.  We've been using them on MnT's for crafty day (thanks Toni!)...I kind of forgot how much I love them.  I generally color zig on zig.

I made this especially for a friend of mine, let's see, I've known her for a very long time.  I worked with her via my first 'real' job so it's been a couple of years.  She has 2 kids, her oldest is going to college this Fall, out of state.  As a Momma that has gone through that twice, it's tough.  My oldest went to the University of Washington, lived in the dorms in Year One and I was a mess.  She was only 40 minutes away from home but the transition was tough.  My youngest (who just graduated from college last month) went out of state to NY.  I guess I should be glad that I had a bit of experience before that happened.  Honestly, still trying to get use to him not coming back home.

So although I haven't made her boy's graduation card yet, I knew just what I wanted to design for her.  This card will include an invite to Bubble Tea because, well, that makes everything better.

Hello, My Friend | Reverse Confetti

My card was thoroughly inspired by Tracie Pond!   I was so smitten with her card set, I decided to use the designs as a starting point for my project.  I decided to use Reverse Confetti Tall Blooms + A Friend Like You.

I originally started to stamp out the blooms with various inks from the same color family.  I decided I wanted to go a slight watercoloring route.  My color trio is my favorite:

Tattered Rose   |   Worn Lipstick   |   Scattered Straw

I started with the Scattered Straw images first.  Then stamped the images in Tattered Rose .  I used my watercolor brush and went around the outlines very quickly.

The center image has been stamped in Worn Lipstick.    The sentiment is from the A Friend Like You.

The watercolor panel has been mounted on gold glitter and Flamingo cardstock.  I used my black watercolor paint and finished off my card with black speckles.  I masked off the sentiment so it wouldn't disrupt it.

I'm playing along with the Reverse Confetti - Stock Your Stash challenge:

I'm thrilled to be guesting today for the a2zscrapbooking Monthly Challenge - Anything but a Card.

I designed a tag duo especially for today.  Here's a peek at one of them:

I recently bought a top and matching cardi that had their tags attached by the pins I used today on my tags.   Make sure you check out my other project over on the a2zscrapbooking blog!

I can't wait to see how you're inspired by this month's challenge!

Pretzels | Ink Road Stamps

If you follow me on IG, you may have seen one of my recent IG Stories that showed my latest order from the Ink Road Stamps.

Any Seinfeld fans out there?  If you're one, you NEED the Ink Road Stamps' Serenity Now set.  Both my daughter and I are fans and when I told her about my new stamp set she told me that she hasn't received any recent happy mail.  Ask your momma and you will receive.  She doesn't read my blog so this is safe to post.  LOL

The Twisted stamp + dies set from Spellbinders is PERFECT to team up with this sentiment.  RUN over there because it is marked down to $4.50!

June 2019 Creative Hop | Reverse Confetti

Hello!  Today is the 8th of the month which means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Creative Hop!  You should have arrived here from my teamie, Heather Hoffman.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Reverse Confetti blog!

I have a birthday duo to share with you today:

I never seem to have enough birthday cards, how about you?  I'm totally smitten with the Cake & Champagne set.  It's so beautiful, I adore that stacked cake!  I've teamed it up with Banner in Bloom + Hatbox Florals.

Do you notice that confetti falling?  That is from the Celebrations set, and it's been heat embossed in Rose Gold, the sentiment too.

I decided to make a coordinating tag to add as a gift topper.

Since I used the same blended background and copic colors, I wanted to see how Hatbox Florals would look.  What do you think?  I think it matches nicely.

I have a couple June birthday's coming up.  I'm set for one of them!  Well, I still want to buy a giftie too!

I can't wait to see how my teamies were inspired.  Next up is Kathy Schweinfurth!  In case you get lost along the way, here's the complete hop listing:

a little hello | Badges & Banners

Hello + Happy Friday!  So I thought my day was going to be filled with driving around only to realize that will be next Friday.  How lucky am I that I get to stay home, be crafty and oh yeah, really make a dent in cleaning my craft room.

So at my last Crafty Garage sale I picked up the Stampin' Up (retired) Badges & Banners...LOL, it was a multi-crafter sale.  I've been eyeing that set for awhile, this is how I was inspired:

This card was absolutely inspired by THIS.  The cardstock I used was:

Lemon Lime Twist   |   Pool Party   |  Night of Navy

The center panel consists of Night of Navy and Neenah solar white on a 4x3 panel.  The tag is from PTI, the twine is Fun Stampers Journey.

This card was inspired by TGIF Challenges:

My next card is so NOT postal friendly but I LOVE it.  It was inspired by THIS card.

Note to self:  buy compact poms

I'm loving how my second card came together.  The white tag and Lemon Lime Twist label panel are both by PTI.  My friend ERIN is always inspiring how she manages to use tons of her PTI tag dies. The stripe paper is  Let's Polka by Lawn Fawn.  I'm really loving this color duo....so fresh and fun.

Design Team:

Here's a quick peek at how I was inspired!  I designed three projects especially for today:

First up is the fun hot pink Vespa card!

I adore this new Vespa die, the possibilities are endless.  I couldn't resist making a scenery with it.  I combined the Sunny Dies + Mini Cloud Dies.  The sentiment is from the Sunnyville stamp set.

Next up, the Cuppa Sunshine Dies!

Okay, aren't they awesome?  The dies are so fun and original.  You'll be seeing these a lot because I like coffee a smidge (wink).  I've die cut the black panel three times and stacked them up.  I cut the solid cup die in pale blue and backed the outlines.  The sentiment is from the new Sunnyville stamp set.

My final card:

Oh my goodness, that sweet sun and that cute bird!  I can't stand all of the cuteness.  I love how the green gingham makes the center focal point POP.

I can't wait to see how the Paper Smooches Design Team and my bloggie friend Emily Leiphart were inspired!

Thank you sooo much for stopping by and a huge shout out to Kim of Paper Smooches for the invite today!

Check out this project that features three different Paper Smooches stamp sets:

Courteous Cuties   |   Pineapple Crush   |  Pineapple Crush 2

The yellow narrow strips are washi.

Loving that sentiment.  This is going postal to my stepdaughter.  Her birthday is this week.

I was inspired by:
