August Creative Hop | Reverse Confetti

Hello!  Today is the 8th of the month which means it's time for the Reverse Confetti Creative Hop!  You should have arrived here from my teamie, Heather Hoffman.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Reverse Confetti blog!

I decided to design a giftie duo, a card and treat box:

Let's chat about my card first.  I started off with an A2 Tangerine panel.  The Premier Polar White panel is 4.0 x 5.25.  I used the Stitched Hex Tag Confetti Cuts as a window.

On a Bristol panel I used  Kristena Werner Distress Oxide Combo:

Wild Honey | Spiced Marmalade | Seedless Preserves

If you haven't tried any of the blender brushes out, you really should.  They work like a dream.  If you have a Daiso [Japanese dollar store], you can try one out for just a couple dollars.

I stamped out a bunch of images from the Let's Shellabrate set.  I colored them with the following copic colors:

Y17 | Y38
V01 | V12
W00 | W1 | W2

See that fun clear box?  It's the Mini Clear Box.  I picked up a movie theater style box of  Mini Swedish Fish - Tropical which almost fit perfectly.  I may had to test try a couple of them [wink].

This is the front of the box.  It's a mini scenery to go with a mini box.  I used the same color palette as my card.

Here's the top of the Mini Clear Box.  The twine is from my stash and the tag is from Bag & Tags Creator Confetti Cuts.  The sentiment is from Word Up. The cardstock I used:

Tangerine | Grape Soda | Premier Polar White

Next up is the fabulous Kathy Schweinfurth!  In case you get lost along the way, the full hop listing is available below!

Paper Sweeties 7th Birthday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

The Coffee Loving Cardmaker's Design Team is hopping in celebration of Super Sponsor Paper Sweeties 7th Birthday!  You should have arrived here from the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog, if not, you'll want to start there!

Here's how I was inspired:

I combined the Coffee, Yes Please + Eat Cake stamp sets!  I love the bold images, so fun to color.

I went with a favorite color combo, yellow + lavender.  I've been really gravitating to basic color combos and designs.  Makes the stamped images shine.

That's it for me!  Up next is my teamie Lori Turner!  The entire hop listing is available on the Coffee Loving Cardmaker's blog!

Long Live Snail Mail | Woodblock Wednesday

Welcome to the Fifth Edition of Woodblock Wednesday!  Today I'm featuring:

Impress Cherry Blossom Branch [5632F]
Savvy Stamps Long Live Snail Mail [1549C]

My overall design was inspired by THIS card by Julie Ebersole.  I mixed up the design a bit so it isn't the same but that you can see where I was inspired.

My card is a hefty 7 layers:

Cardbase
Neenah Solar White
Glitter Cardstock
Studio Calico layer
Studio Calico layer
Neenah Solar White frame
Main Image/Sentiment

Why do I cover my cardbase?  I bought a bunch of 'cheap' folded cards.  Unfortunately they aren't even white but kind of a blue grey that I find very distracting [lesson learned], but I still want to use them up.

I've been enjoying designing with a ton of white space lately but love a pop of color, this time I'm using glittery cardstock.

My copic colors:

YR000 | YR00 | YR01
G00 | G12
E40

The sentiment has a coordinating Cute Snail [yes, I own it] but this time I went for a different look.

Have you noticed that I've been creating more floral designs?  I've never really thought of myself as a floral girl but I've been warming up to them lately.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Plant Lady | Flora & Fauna

Several weeks ago I went to the Impress Anniversary Sale and bought a load of goodies.  I'm slowly inking up the sets.  Funny thing, this is the smallest set I bought that day:  Flora & Fauna's Mini Plant Lady

Originally it was going to be a one layer card but I've been gravitating towards solid bases these days and I have so much non-DT cardstock [Stampin' Up, MFT, PTI].  The Brick Wall Stencil is by Funky Fossil Designs with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide.

This was designed especially for my girl, the green thumb.  She didn't get that from me...although she is trying to convert me to a green thumb.  My house has never had so many plants.  She visits regularly so she takes care of most of them.

I've been a lucky momma with my boy home this week.  Although he's been staying with his sister in Seattle....today we're having breakfast with my Momma.

Inspirational Quotes | Guest Designer Miss Ink Stamps

I'm so excited to be guesting for Miss Ink Stamps over on their IG this morning!  They've just released some pretty spectacular stencils and today I'm featuring:  Chevron.

The stencil has been filled with Modeling Paste on a portion of my panel.  Love the added texture although truthfully I also wait impatiently for it to dry.

I teamed it up with the very fun Java Joe's stamp set.  I just love that store front.  I colored it with peach + aqua copics.

The sentiment is hilarious, isn't it?

A big thank you to Miss Ink Stamps for asking me to be a Guest Designer.  I had a ton of fun.  You'll be seeing their other new stencils in the next several weeks!

Thinking of You | Guest Designer Miss Ink Stamps

I'm so excited to be guesting for Miss Ink Stamps over on their IG this morning!  They've just released some pretty spectacular stencils and today I'm featuring:  Waves.

The Waves Stencil has been inked up with Distress Oxide - Milled Lavender.  Such a pretty and calming color, don't you agree?

I teamed it up with the gorgeous Gardenia stamp set.  I just love those blooms.  I went with the traditional gardenia color, white [W00 | W1] on this design.

The base panel is Stampin' Up Sweet Sugarplum and then I layered a gold glitter panel.  I used the Hero Arts Nesting Oval Dies for the window.  The sentiment is from the Magnolia Sympathy set.

Bonjour | Tracey Hey

So do you follow Tracey Hey?  She has a super fun IG filled with sweet stamps and alpacas!  I was so lucky to win one of her IG Giveaways and I picked the super CUTE set:  Frenchie

I stamped the main image in Pumice Stone on Bristol and did minimal coloring with Zig's.  Have you tried their Blender? Oh boy, if you haven't you have to check it out.  It moves around the color so nicely.  The pup has been colored with Gray Tint with Sugared Almond Pink for his cheeks.  The crown is a combo of English Lavender + Lilac.

The Memory Box Starry Nights stencil was inked up with Tumbled Glass with a Blender Brush.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx.  It's all nestled on a Stampin' Up Lost Lagoon panel.

That sweet puppy face, so cute.
