live the life

I'm not quite sure why it's taken me so long to pick up the Amy Tangerine/Plus one paper pad.  It's calling my name...the colors...the graphics...everything.

I contrasted the boldness of the colors from the Plus One collection with some watercoloring with distress markers {another Julie Ebersole technique and purchase}.  Don't you love that mason jar?  It's the Floral Jar by Savvy Stamps.

I couldn't resist putting that sweet 'lil heart veneer on there...it's TINY.

If you're active in the paper crafting community you know that there has been some controversy, that has exploded, to put it mildly.

It has put perspective in my crafting life...it makes me sad that there is so much anger and negativity out there.  If you've been following me for awhile, you know that I'm a rainbows & unicorn kind of blogger.  I like it that way and bottom line know:

kindness matters

So with that, I'm taking a bloggie break for a smidge.  I'll be posting for my DT assignments but feel the need to step back for a bit.

♡♡♡

Amy, your card is beautiful. Love the soft water colors. I agree with you that the negativity is hard to understand. For me creating is a relaxation and I love the support of the crafting community. This week's events are an exception. I don't understand it nor have the energy to focus on the negative.

Amy - I love the soft watercoloring you did. Such a beautiful contrast to that bright and happy paper you used. I don't know what has happened (I've been offline for most of the month), but I look forward to seeing your cards when you do start posting again. Sending you encouragement and lots of positivity!

The vase and flowers are SO pretty, and they pair beautifully with that sentiment! I don't know what negativity happened that you're referring to, but that's just me, I prefer to keep my head buried in the sand lol! I don't watch the news for just that reason, I'm a sensitive person and it brings me down. All I can say is that God is in control so we have nothing to worry about, don't let anyone steal your JOY :) Hugs to you and I hope you're back to happily creating again soon!

Love the soft watercolors against the vibrant papers, and the sentiment too. Oh, and the little wood veneer heart :).
I don't know what happened in the crafting community, but it's sad that we won't be seeing your beautiful work as often... good should prevail over bad. You are inspiring and I love seeing what you create.

There's something to be said for the old adage 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'. I try to go with that in the blogosphere, because don't we get enough negativity in our lives? I have no idea what's going on, but I feel so sad that it's affected you & that you aren't feeling the same joy right now. Sending you lots of love & hugs & COFFEEEEEE <3
You bring so much happiness to MANY, MANY people!!! Your constant support and inspiration guides alot of people!!! I know I was shocked to see no post for today... I was hoping you are on vacation like me... HUGS Amy!! You are Thee Best!!!

Oh that teeny tiny wood veneer steals the show (even though I do love Plus One)! So fab! That whole situation is crazy. Then with Two Peas closing down a few days ago (as shocking as Archivers closing, CK shutting down, and PC going digital, in my opinion), it's probably a good time to step back for awhile.

Well I don't follow a lot of people, but those whom I do follow do not seem to EVER be negative. Sorry you ran into some bad mojo.
Enjoy your break then come back and create!

Stunning - as in jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring stunning! WOW! Your water-colouring is incredibly inspiring! The wee heart: special touch to the max! As for the 'negativity' you referenced: you bring happiness to all of us, so please, my friend, keep that in mind! Your stepping back is important for you - and know that all of us love you for your sweetness, support and encouragement, as well as your phenomenal creativity! Hugs~c
