birthday bash

This is the card that I made for my Mom...I used Jen's sfytt. I sliced into my much hoarded Hambly Damask paper...whew...but oh-so-worth-it. I teamed it up with Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip and my most loved Speckletone Kraft. The ribbon is ala M's.
We celebrated my Mom's birthday on Saturday. Boy, did I laugh...alot. We went to a Benihana style restaurant called Mizu. Our Chef was pretty entertaining but by far the most fun was when the people came to sing Happy Birthday {in Japanese} to my Mom. One of the guys was trying to get my Mom to dance or as he said "shake it!"...that was hilarious.

This card is just beautiful. i love the DP. That picture suddenly reminded me of the Office episode where they actually go to Benihana's. (christmas episode season3 ) I am still giggling at the thought of it.

great card! I have so much trouble cutting into my Hamblys also. One of my daughter's friends went to a birthday party at a Hibachi place recently. She said they did something like an exploding volcano made of onions - how fun!
