Can you see my black cardstock peeking out? It measures 4.25 x 11 inches. I sewed the Sassafras Rose Thicket paper onto the black cardstock... the sweet scallops hang lower than the black cs.
Here is the tri-fold, well, folded up. I put together a belly band to keep everything together...it just slides right off.
Here's an interior shot...I felt like I should line the card with white since it makes it easier to write a greeting. The scallop end is scored at 3.5 inches and the other end at 2.75 inches. I'd recommend only 2 layers instead of my 3 layers...I scored each piece separately and it makes for a pretty bulky card. I ended up backing the scallop piece with black cardstock because Sassafras always has writing on it..darn it. Be sure to check out the other gals on the 365 Cards DT for their magnicent projects. It is sooo fun to see everyone's different takes on the challenges. We really love your enthusiasm this week and actually for all the challenges...you gals are most fabulous!!!
oh, i love this paper so much!! Gorgeous tri fold amy!
ReplyDeleteMy jaw dropped when I saw the price tag... yours certainly look equally as nice! I think you should start going into business! :) Great card!
ReplyDeleteGood heavens, this is so pretty! I love the papers, as usual, and the black is the perfect companion.
ReplyDeleteHi Amy,
ReplyDeleteThankyou for commenting on my blog. I love the Orange printed paper that you have used here. Orange is one of my two favourite colours of all time and the other is purple. The paper is really quite striking.
Regards

I cant believe that price tag but I suppose you do get envelopes with them as well so that makes them slightly more affordable!!! Lol
ReplyDeleteDo people really pay money like that when there are so many talented people just on this blog alone who would make something exquisite for a fraction of that price, what can I say!!
Your card is gorgeous, I love the belly band idea

this is just gorgeous Amy!! and if there's a market out there for people to pay $300+ for 50 cards, we all need to start charging more for our cards :)!
ReplyDeleteYour post today caught my eye Amy - I am in love with this paper!! I have a sheet of it and sometimes I pat it and admire it but cut it up?!? *gasp* I don't know if I can do that!! LOL Wouldn't it be nice to be a 'Vera Wang' of this world and once you put your name to something it instantly becomes three times the real value!? *sigh* I'd buy your card over hers anyday Amy. ((hugs))
ReplyDeleteTotally darling Amy! The clean simple design really lets that gorgeous paper shine!

Oh my, Amy, what a great thing to share with us about the Horchow trifold price, I love willows response (see above) envelopes are important. I am sure H's cards aren't made with as much fun and creativity as yours, and I like yours better. Thanks for sharing both.
