ginormous sassy'licious flower

Woot woot...check out that fabulous crochet flower!!! Isn't it just way tooo fun? To give you the sense of just how big it is, the black card base is 5.5 inches square...whoa, yup, that's a big flippin' fun flower!!! I've been literally stumbling over the 2 packages of these flowers that I picked up several weeks ago from Ikea, yup Ikea! My friend L asked me what I was going to use them for, I said a card and voila! So I'm sending this to her...I hope you aren't reading this "L".

Fun sketch this week from Card Patterns...I used my Sassafras Whale of a Tale paper and the buttons {there are 2 stacked on each other} are from my Making Memories {note}worthy set. The ribbon is ala May Arts...

Love the flower Amy! Such a creative use for it, and the colors are great. Those flowers are really easy to make - it look like to me that they are just single crochet with a slip stich to make the petals. I did a few cards with some crocheted flowers I made....now I'm going to have to make another one!

Hey girlie, love the colors on your card. Love that flower. Thought you crocheted it yourself. I just started teaching myself how to crochet, but haven't made a flower THIS big, yet. LOVE IT!!!
