woot woot!

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day over on the 365 Cards blog and it is also my day to pick out an inspiration piece. I decided to go with this pillow from Anthropologie:

Here's the thing, I love pillows...they add such a nice pop of color & pattern to a room. It 'could' be an inexpensive fresher-upper to a room. Here's the other thing, pillows can be soooo expensive...I was at Pier 1 checking out their pillows for at least 30 minutes to leave with nothing...nada...either too expensive or just "not" right. Still on the look out for some for my living room...Anyways, here is my take on the inspiration pillow.

Okay, you really can't be too shocked that I used my sweet Hero Arts Owl...I didn't have anything else that was just perfect and come on now, who wouldn't love an owl on a pillow with pom pom trim??!!!! I stacked 2 butterflies together {blue/yellow: like on the inspiration pillow} to add some fun.

I had actually started this card over the weekend and never finished it...that was a mistake. I should have went with the flow and finished it up then. I revised this one a couple times last night....grrr...hate it when it doesn't flow...so when my mojo isn't flowing I fall back on what I love...clean & simple...oh yeah, and owls.

I'll be much better today...I'll have a fresh pair of contacts...hmmm...I was on week 5 on my last pair that are only for 2 weeks...yipes...I was wondering why my eyes were sooo sore and tired.

Okay, show me what you got ladies....hmmm...michelle will like this one, it has orange in it :)

Amy ~ I can see why you were having so much trouble on this one. I don't even know where to begin with my card, but I will give it the old college try. You did an excellent job with this one girlfriend.
Know what you mean about the contacts I am just finishing week 4 of a 2 week pair. But I always wear them for a month and then toss them out. My Bad.

Beautiful! I bought poms and now can't find a project to use them.... I may have to CASE this one!
Don't know why they say after two weeks throw contacts out, I wear mine until I start to get headaches then it's time to replace!

LOL I adore the orange Amy but orange and green together girl I struggled with it lol. But it is up there for all the world to see and I didn't see the two little butterflies on your card which is why I left mine off LMAO and then I read your actual post and saw that you indeed put them there. Now I feel bad lol. Too cute Amy, love it. The designer paper is lovely too.

Yowza!! Fab inspiration! And your card is just too stinkin' adorable! Love, love, LOVE it! Your place is secure as the mighty queen of the pom fringe!

So know what you mean about pillows...love them, but they can be so spendy! I bought my first sewing machine just so I could make my own!

I do know of a blog of a woman who sells pillows that she makes on etsy... here it is in case you want to check it out. May not be what you are looking for but... it also could be :)
