sassy bloom...

Thursday...already?

I'm finally starting to get back into my normal groove of things...great time since it is almost the weekend!!! Although I'm still horribly behind on my google reader and commenting...

Today is my day over on the 365 Cards Blog...

Pam's challenge:

The 3 B's

Blue, Blossom, emBoss....

I decided to use FTL#75...

This is what I came up with...

The bloom is something that I learned to do at the Jillibean booth...6 layers of circles that you just scrunch up using the middle brad as your anchor. You can't see my brad but it is a delish clear rhinestone. I used my Sassy Wee Bundle Sunshine Lollipops. I ran the blue panel through with my Quickutz folder. The metal thank you is from J's...super easy smeasy but can someone tell me how in the heck do you pop these puppies in the mail?? LOL.

I hope you join me in this fun 365 Cards Challenge!!

So cute! I know I always send my more "bulky" cards with packages I send or in person. Sometimes I have to make flat cards just so I can send them normal in the mail!~ lol

Neat little flower.

Super cute! I have some cute little white spiral flowers I made just waiting to go on a card but then like you, I'm thinking how to mail!

LOVE the flower, Amy! I like how you used a scallop punch for them. It makes it so soft and detailed! Fabulous job, girlie! Good question on how to mail it without the beautiful flower getting squished. This might be one you hand deliver. ♥♥ Kay

Get out! This is amazing...that flower is scrumptious!

That flower is the coolest! The mail question is a good one. Oversized envelopes work with big bows, but I'm not sure if it would work not getting the flower squished.

It's a simple but elegant card!
For mailing it, how about those oval-shaped box (something like cylinder but oval shape, if you know what i mean)? I saw this method from a japanese quilling site. :) Not that i know how to read Japanese!

to answer your q first: i place a piece of cardboard against the lumpy side, reinforce the envelope with some clear packing tape, add extra postage, and cross my fingers. and i think i've only ever had ONE thing show up a mess! (o'course if you save the lumpy ones to send WITH a prezzie, you're already in a box anyway...problem solved...) :)

btw, did i mention I LOVE THIS CARD!!! ♥♥♥
