I had the opportunity to play with the Pumpkins image by The Character Cafe...

I decided to really make the image pop so I just used one of the pumpkins...it really spotlights the image which I paper pieced with Stampin' Up Pumpkin Pie and River Rock.

How was your WCMD? Of course, I like to call it World Card Making WEEKEND:)

I spent a big chunk of time out on the water yesterday:) My brother bought me tickets for the Queen of Seattle, Paddle Wheel Cruise. It is the largest steam powered paddle wheeler west of the Mississippi.



I took lots of pictures but this is the 'readers digest' version...one of the most famous Seattle iconic symbols...the Space Needle:

I can assure you that we totally lucked out on the weather...it was overcast but warmish for us...this time of the year our Seattle uniform is Gore-Tex rainwear:)

Do you guys recognize these houseboats? Yup, the one on the left is from Sleepless in Seattle...

I took my Momma with me...we had a ball and afterwards went to a GREAT kaiten sushi {conveyor belt} place called Sushi Maru. Do you all remember that I don't eat raw stuff...neither does my Momma....we still found tons of delish stuff to feast on...

So that was a majority of my WCMD...but I'll be crafting all day today inbetween a soccer game:)

sounds like you had a nice weekend so far! the boat looks like fun! and love sushi :)! i like to eat the ebi (cooked) nigiri sushi and the shinko and cucumber sushi. yummy...oo, with miso soup, hee hee. i think i might eat that tomorrow.

Love the thankful card. It's clean and classy! ;-). The boat ride sounded like fun and even better that you took mom to enjoy! Love those sushi conveyor belts with food. I don't eat raw either. :-).

Great card and that single pumpkin does pop on the card.
The riverboat ride sounds like a lot of fun. We have one of those here that goes down the Mississippi River and through the Locks. I have yet to go so maybe you will inspire me to go next summer.

Great post today! Sounds like you and your momma had a great time! Thanks for posting the Sleepless in Seattle house boat pic. I love that movie!!! You don't like raw sushi???? I should have went to that place when I was vacationing there! Oh well...next time.

This is such a great fall card. I LOVE the image of the pumpkins. So many images of pumpkins look cheesy or fake. This one is perfect. Great pp too!

oh i love the pics, how awesome to spend a day in such beauty. never been to your state but it is on my "to do list" :) perhaps another motorcycle trip with hubby needs to be taken ;)
