thank you sew much...

Happy Wednesday!!!

We're half way through the first week of November....I started a walking program on the 1st...this is day 3 hoping to squeeze in a walk at work or when I get home from work....gotta prep for the holidays:)

I had fun making this card...it is based on a couple different challenges...first let me give you deets about the card...

There isn't a whole lotta embellishments on this card...I wanted the stitching to take the spotlight.  Can you tell that the base is Stampin' Up Really Rust...I have to tell you ladies, this is probably the first time I've used that color..LOL.   Isn't that a great dress form image?  It's by Invoke Arts and it's tiny...it's been paper pieced with Really Rust.  The sentiment is an older rub on by Stampin' Up.

All the patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Material Girl....check out all that stitching...whew...I tell you, the 'ole Janome was smokin'....and evidently a bit hacked off at me for some reason because just when I finished up the stitching it went bonkers on me and I managed to pierce 2 random holes into my card...oh, I was NOT a happy camper but never fear...this is crafting...I take it as a challenge to fix the problem....see that gorgeous seam binding ribbon?  That was my lifesaver!!!  The photo does not do it justice...it matches the Really Rust cardstock perfectly!  More details on the ribbon in a smidge....

I was inspired by the Cardabilities Sketch 14:

I adore the sketch and hope to play again with it...

The color combo of my card was inspired by the latest Embellish Magazine Vintage Challenge:

I adore working with greens and yellows but do not gravitate to rust...so I LOVED this particular challenge...made me really work outside my norm and that's what challenges are all about!!!!

Life Saver...yup...that's what I called her when I sent her an email last night....check out the super card I received from my blog buddie Sherry:

It's a fabulously fun card that uses Skipping Stones Bras Volume #1

The interior says:

Bras are like
Friends
the good ones
never leave
you hangin'

LOL...tooooo funny:)

I got a bonus with the card:

Check out all that delish ribbon.....perfect, perfect, perfect!  Pop over to Sherry's blog and leave her a comment if you're interested in buying any of the ribbon...she sells the gorgeous stuff....I seriously received the goods in the mail last night and immediately used the fab rust ribbon...it was perfect for my card in more ways than one *wink*.
